No, better than regular football. What are the most common gripes about the NFL? Overpaid primadonnas who play scared for fear of getting injured.

Arena Football is a high-scoring game in which the players play offense and defense.

If you have a specific, legitimate reason why you don't like Arena Football, go ahead and post it. I would be more than happy to explain/debate it with you.

I'm basicly a Patriots fan, if another NFL game, NCAA or Arena comes on while i'm flipping I might keep it on for a few minutes, but don't really care about it.

I probably only watched the XFL because of the WWF ties.

Arena football is pretty good, but I personally prefer the NFL because I've been raised on it. The lack of popularity probably comes from the public not being exposed to it in as big a scale as the NFL or other major sports. People can say that the talent level isn't as high, but that's not really correct b/c the talent levels off at different levels of competition. It'll never be as popular as the NFL b/c the NFL won't let it happen, but it doesn't take away from it being a great sport to watch.

Yes, the AFL will always ride the backseat to the NFL, but in the NFL's spring meetings, the NFL is expected to buy 49% of the AFL. The Lions, Redskins, Saints, Seahawks, Patriots, 49ers, Jaguars, Eagles, and Cowboys owners have all either bought a team or are going through the stages of buying a team.

I do hate watching millionares play NFL football....it takes the fun out of it just being for fun in my eyes. What do these guys have to lose?

for the first season and I
agree it is cool but I need to
yap to my friends about things
and they did not watch it...
It is also to tough to learn
all those new players and then
if they get to good they
leave... so I watch where the
most talent is... NFL... but I
have no issues with people

It's good to feel some love for Arena Football.

Rooster, thanks for giving it a shot.

I find it really hard to follow college football, especially when the Irish lose.

The Knights played at the Garden in the 80s, back when the league was just starting. Manhattan people are a little snootier and harder to please, so they had problems just like the Cityhawks did in 1997 and 1998.

Now, the Dragons are playing at the Coliseum on Long Island, where the Jets' fan base really is. That's why they've been successful.

Stump12, NFL owners invest in Arena Football because it is PROFITABLE. Why would owners buy teams for $3 million each (Which would normally be $10 million, but NFL owners get a discount,) when they can visit colleges for free?

That doesn't mean it can't develop players, but it's primary purpose is to make $$$
