its sorta wierd how is career ended....i was shocked to hear when this happend...now that hitchocks gone the padres have Ashby again wow so nostalgic.....

kind of feel a little old ... he's the first player that i can think of that i remember coming up, and now is retiring ...
he pitched a hell of a game against the blue jays in sept of 1995 that helped push the yanks into the wild car spot ...

ya and in 1998 he helped the Padres get into the World Series going 2-0 with a 0.98 ERA i think against the braves right Bama?
If He he didnt get injured so much he probley would of been a good pitcher but injuries plaqued him if u look as the seasons he didnt get injured he was a pretty good pitcher....
