Bah! Stupid team. They won their home opener against Michigan State in a close game that went down to the final minute.
Biggest crowd ever at an RU game, 42,000+ fans.
Anyway, they won the game and everyone rushed the field. I tried to too but in the process blew out my knee, ended up in the hospital, had to miss going out to NYC tonight, and now sitting here with a leg brace on and crutches in the corner of my room.
Stupid team! Since when is Rutgers supposed to win?

At least you're not the kicker for Oregon State. He missed three extra points tonight including one in overtime that lost the game. He would probably rather be in your situation.
Get well.

Nice Jezo! They must still be in shock. I dont follow it close enough, but isnt the reason for this being so unreal is the last few seasons have been about as bad as a football team can get without the program dissolving. That may be overstating it, I forget which years it was, but werent there like seasons with 1 and 2 wins, total? Weren't the once proud Scarlet Knights gonna lynch those coaches?
I forget, but it was a bad stretch of Unreal strings of losses.

Yeah man! This is the big turn around year!! At least the big turn around opening game. With VT and Miami out of the Big East RU has a better chance at a winning season.
Beating Michigan State was impressive. The 10 foot leap down to get onto the field was impressive too. At least I found someone I knew out on the field to carry me out into the endzone. Made it all worth it, at least at the time. Just wonder how I am going to get to work on Tuesday.
I don't think I like the turf field they have though. Grass is so much nicer.

Jezo, The Asbury Park press would have you believe this was the Orange Bowl. Wow.
I dont know if it's online, but there's a huge picture of peeps on the field after the game; yer prolly in it.
I lived in Bridgewater/Martinsville from 71-82, Class of 81 Bridgewater-Raritian. So RU was like a place to go to way before we were old enough to go as students; parties and stuff. And about half my friends from high school actually ended up Going there; and I'd be at Busch or Cook or seeing some chick almost every weekend, and Christ the downtown is unrecognizable now, but the times I've driven 287 to RU... yow. Played a couple of frat parties too, couldnt remember the names if ya told me, but man those fuckers could party, I mean, you know how bad it got... some fucked up shit, sadly.
OK rambling...

Did Rutgers' program get good or did Michigan State's program go down the toilet?
I hope it's because Michigan State's program stinks. Listening to the announcers yesterday, it would seem that's the case. Tooling on Rutgers is too much fun for them to spoil it by having a good team.
