Both sides have fucked this procedurally from the get go; Maxim did an article, yeah, I know real news source eh? about the early parts of the case and how bad things were handled and it left the impression this thing would never make it to trial, or get anyhing close to a fair one, if it indeed occurred.

This was the criminal case. not the civil case. If she won't testify in the criminal case, there is no way in hell she's getting one dollar in the civil case.

Apparently, it seems, that the civil case will be settled out of court. I don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand I'm glad this chick got her ass handed to her, on the other hand, I hate Kobe Bryant. But then again, I'm glad this shit didn't happen to a player I actually gave a living fuck about.
