Anyone happen to catch this on NBC after LCS tonight? I thought it was pretty good. It had some good characters. The Sigfreid(sp?!) and Roy characters are pretty damn funny. Plus the show was played commercial free... anyone else watch it?

Much Thanks to CanOfSoup for the sig!
I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.
The two symbols of the Republican party: an elephant and a big fat white guy who's threatened by change.

I watched it and got a few chuckles. (The Mountin' time joke...) Siegfried & Roy are pretty good sports to let the show make so much fun of them. Carl Reiner's character has the potential to be funny, in a Red Forman sort of way.
But, I must say, "Scrubs" came on afterwards, and that show always makes me laugh out loud. One of the best comedies on TV now.

I missed it, though I happen to think that John Goodman has done a few too many cartoon character voices at this point.

I saw it and it had a few good lines. Did the little cat give John Goodman a hummer?

That's what the wife and I thought. And oddly enough, not really that funny of a bit. I preferred the "She's dressing me up in a sailor outfit later tonight. Just eat me now." line.
It has potential, but I don't know about the time slot and whether the network will stick it out long enough for an audience to build.
It seems that for a lot of these animated shows the fan base take a while to establish. And major networks are quick to pull the plug, often ending the life of a show just when the numbers are starting to improve.

Saw it. Thought it was funny. Actually...I think it might be a bit too risque for kids. Lots of jokes about sex. Lots of double entendres'. etc etc
I hope it doesnt get cancelled after three episodes.

I think that's why every commerical they ran for it said "For Adults" "Adult Comedy" et al.
Plus since the initial showing for the critics during TV Media week (or whatever it's called) didn't garner a lot of enthusiasm for the show, the network is now trying to push the "not suitable for your kids" angle.
Every other commercial during primetime olympic coverage was for this show and I have to believe it's NBC trying to salvage the botched job they did of promoting it the right way a month ago.
Did anyone else think, "wow, commercial free just displays how little show content there is in these 1/2 hour programs"?

Hell yeah, not for the kiddies. They curse alot too (well, broadcast T.V. curses).
It was a good enough first episode that, if I was chanel surfing, and it was on, I would stop. But, I do not see it becoming a show that I stop what I am doing to watch (Like "The Sopranos").
I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker

I liked that the female Panda, voiced by Lisa Kudrow, was wearing a very "Phoebe-like" bracelet when she first appeared on-screen, then it was gone a few seconds later.
Stuff like that is funny on a whole other level.

Not sure I'd go as far as saying it's brilliant.
It's not bad and could definately turn into a decent show if given enough time to evolve.
However, there are still "jarring" moments when they go for the "shock" joke, just to prove they are an adult show.
The kitten giving the lion the BJ in episode 1 is an example, and then having Sigfreid making smiles with the granny lady took what was a decent subplot and through it off track, just to be "adult" in nature.
There are times when the mature humor fits within the context of the show, but it's a natural progression and makes sense. But these odd shock moments only serve to derail the continuity and enjoyment of the show (much like many of my comments do to a large number of threads on this board).

I remember the day I started my first office job. There was a management meeting which I was tagged to attend for note taking purposes.
It was there that I first encountered a majestic Covey of Franklins.
