I am totally paranoid about taped phone calls. My wife thinks I am nuts. But I just don't want to get dragged into someone else's shit. And New York is one of those states where it is legal to tape a phone call as long as one party to the conversation knows it is being recorded.

As an afterthought is "taping" now like an archaic word like "dialing" a telephone? Kids will use the words, but have no idea what its really like to actually do it?

I heard on court tv, the FBI agents' testing of the audio for lying had some startling results.

Whenever Peterson denied he had anything to do with Laci, it came out as the truth.

But whenever he denied that it had anything to do with his "adultress", it came out as a lie.

I think taping isnt archaic in that tape recorders, for all the bad you can say about them, are often the safest bet, meaning anything digital, on a file, if something fucks up that file, the entire thing can be lost, and tape is sort of 'permanent'.

Bad word, but i'm pretty sure they're alive and well. And dont a lot of those security cams still run on VHS tape? The kind that record the last 12 hours of something...
