Setting up my XM radeo

I'm going to get my XM radio today. I have a few questions

1) Can I hook it up to my reciever so I can listen through my speackers?

2) Is there any way to make mp3s from the XM?

3) Does anyone want a 10 year old Sony boombox?

4) I know I spelt radio wrong in the Topic..I Suck!!

-Depends on the unit you buy. That one you see in the commercials that the dude hooks up to the XM boombox.. I think that one can do it. Just check before you buy it.

2) Is there any way to make mp3s from the XM?
-They sell a thing that lets you listen to it through your computer. Perhaps you can record a sound stream that way but there is no direct way to get mp3s out of it.


3) Does anyone want a 10 year old Sony boombox?
-Is it free?

The Roady 2 (from what I can see in the pictures at xmradio.com) comes with the tape adapter for your car. If you get another model, and it doesn't come with a tape adapter, you can buy one for a few bucks. The tape adapter also works with a stereo that has a tape player.

Also, if your stereo has better inputs (such as RCA Aux inputs), you can buy a stereo RCA cable (1/8" stereo to Dual RCA cables).

Just found this software.. it lets you record XM right to MP3

It will split them up by song, name them correctly, tag them.. wow. This is pretty cool.
