I need help. My nephews 5th birthday is Saturday and I have no idea what to get the kid. In my family there were 6 kids and he is the first child any of us had, so he has been spoiled and has everything. He isn't into much other than collecting bugs and there are really only so many of those types of gifts you can buy him. He is really into money right now also, but he's been given $100's from a few people and I'm not going to try and out do that. So I'm looking for a cool toy idea. what do your kids or kids you know that age really like these days? i'm the favorite uncle up to this point and i don't want to lose that status with a bad gift....he's a really tough judge when it comes to gifts.

A slap upside his head for being so materialistic. If not, maybe take him to a nudie bar.

I know a couple of 7 year olds (one boy one girl) and to them the hot toy is Fisher-Price's "Imaginext".

take a look (http://www.fisher-price.com/US/imaginext/default_flash.asp)

The kids 5. Just buy him a cool toy that you think he would like. Or take him to a toy store and let him pick out the toy he wants. Kids like that.

You could also buy him a 3 year old. Kids love that.

I got a lot of younger cousin and my 5 and 7 year old cousins are really diggin these 'Rescure Hero' toys. They have like firemen and policemen and lots of different vehicles for the figures to get around in.

Just give him a funny card with a $20 bill inside. Screw what the parents think...I remember being around that age and thinking getting money for my brithday was the coolest thing in the world.

I love this site:

http://www.stars4kidz.com

Although it is marketed for children with learning disabilities, I find that typical young children love the toys as well.

I don't know why when I use the url code, it does not open up.
