Let me get this straight...
You finally push a guy who is constantly compared to greats such as Bret Hart and the Dynamite Kid, put the strap around him, and then force him to job to one of the most undeserving young wet behing the ear limp grapplers this side of the mason dixie line, and THEN on top of it all you put him on HEAT to wrestle Tyson "SUCKS TOO MUCH" Tomko. Unconceivable...

well, could be worse, he could have been pushed to the moon, and teased with getting the title and main event 2 PPVs, onlt for the next PPV he could be a greeter at the comapny's failing restaurant...
Just ask RVD....

On one hand, Beniot wasn't getting the kind of face pop an Austin or Rock would be getting if they had the tittle. His lack of mic skills kept him from jumping to a superstar status after winning the belt.
That being said, he was taken off Smackdown where he had a strong following, and moved to RAW where the show is more focused on storyline than wrestling skills. Despite this, he won over the RAW fans with his super crisp ring work and no bs attitude, and came off a kick ass Royal Rumble to win the title at WMXX.
Overall I would give the Benoit title reign a B+. He should have stayed champ for a bit longer in my opinion, but I suppose the world was clamoring for Randy Orton as champ. You have to wonder why any wrestler that got too popular in the last five years had got his legs cut out from under him. HHHmm, why is that?

It's not the end of his push yet. Remember, Triple H wrestled Maven on Heat about a year ago.

But dude, he's Triple H! He can wrestle Maven at a PPV and lose, then be in the world title picture the following Raw. The guy literally has a hand in the company. When Vince missed one of the Smackdown's recently due to his health, guess who was there to help call the shots? TRIPLE H.

He was better off not being on this past Raw. What, were their two matches? Maybe next week they can get him involved in something meaningful.

I'm interested in seeing if Benoit can pull a watchable match out of Tomko.
I've been a hardcore wrestling fan for at least a dozen years now, and I can honestly say that there are very few workers I've seen who are WORSE than Tomko - he's honestly one of the worst workers I've see in AT LEAST the last five years or so.

Don't blame me....I voted for Kodos.
I look forward to an orderly election that will eliminate the need for a violent bloodbath. </center>
