Shoot the Geek = Hate crime? (NJ boardwalk game)

Shoot the Geek or a variation on the theme (shoot a dude in a big suit with a painball gun) has been around on the NJ boardwalk for years and years.

But now they want it to be classified as a hate crime.

Bah. Screw shooting Osama with a painball gun.. how about we give everyone a chance to shoot him with a real gun, non lethal shots, of course, so everyone gets a chance.

"Hate crime" is the skeeviest term around.

Any crime, especially a violent one, is pretty hate-filled to begin with...and yet some are more hateful than others?
