I am not really a fan of wrestling at all. I am familiar with most of the big named stars just by hearing about them. If I'm bored and I'm flipping channels, I might watch wrestling for a bit once in a while. It's fun, but doesn't hold my interest.
However, with all that said, yesterday (Sunday) MTV ran a full-day of their Tough Enough reality show. This show was awesome. I mean, I had it on for like 8 hours solid (not necessarily watching intently all the time, but I would turn my head if I heard something interesting).
Extremely cool to see the wrestlers like Al Snow up close and personal. His wrestling persona is so freaky, but in person he's damn cool. The contestants are really put through tough training. Plus they don't have to manufacture any phony or forced "conflict" between the contestants to keep the action going because each show is pure action.
The final show will be live this coming Thursday. I hope the little guy wins. The big Harvard goon is just too boring and the other (black?) guy is boring. The little guy has some good moves, seems to be passionate about the WWF, and it would be neat to see him going against guys more than twice his size.
-------
Some day a real rain is going to come and wash the scum off these streets.
