View Full Version : Help, wedding music
I am playing a song in the background while my wedding party is introduced, each person is getting their own snippet of a song as they enter the hall. I was wondering if any of you guys had a suggestion for my older brother, it can be anything from classic rock to r&b, I'd like it to have something to do with family/brother relations. thanks

How close are the two of you?
If you're close:
"You've Got a Friend" - James Taylor

"Man is the only animal that blushes . . . or needs to" - Mark Twain

As long as this guy is doing the introductions, you should be good to go:

Jeez...its not like he wants to make out with him or something.

If we knew something a little about his personality, it could help.
For example, my brother looks like Christopher Reeve (spare the jokes, please) and he was played out to the SUperman theme at his wedding.

Oh. Well that's why I chose James' version over Carole's. If they were really wanting to love it up, I was going to suggest "Wind beneath my wings".
Just stick with Merle Haggard and Clint Eastwood singing "Bar Room Buddy of Mine" and make sure you have an orangutang on hand.

Every good wedding needs one. If you don't have one, have a fat, ugly aunt wear an orange dress.

no matter what do not play forever my darling by jonny ace it is the death knell of wedding songs every wedding i been to trhat had it pure evil
joe poo ruulz and bring ron
and fez back to nyc damm it
Thanks for all your suggestions. I appreciate them. Some background he is your typical blue collar Brooklyn guy who grew up in the 70's, listened to Led Zep, The Who etc.. He is 42 now. I'm 30, so I'm the kid brother. We haven't been that close, but I still love em and all.
I wanna keep it all light and fun. For instance, one of my buddies is named Ben, so we are gonna play "Ben" by MJ for laughs, another lives in the South Bronx, so KRS-One's "South Bronx" is the choice.

You can use the song I had my wedding party introduced to...
(intro) Right Now - Van Halen.
It actually worked!!
