Really hot peppers

My dad got these two really hot peppers for me and my brothers to try. With just eating a tiny peice, my mouth was on fire. I couldn't do anything for about 5 miuntes and my mouth was burning.

I'm not completly sure what kind of pepper it was. I would say it was 10 times hotter than any jalapenjo, but about the same size. It was green when I got it, but we were suppose to let it go yellow before we ate it.

Anyone ever try really hot peppers?

And I haven't eaten any REALLY hot peppers. I have eaten "Death Chips". Those things are excellent.

Reminds me of when I was in high school and went with my friends to Chinatown to this Chinese place. The dish they brought had these little tiny red peppers mixed in with the food and I was eating it and bit into one and OMG was it fucking hot! I mean really really hot and my throat closed up and I was tearing and stuff.

Those were Kiva Chilies you ate. As w/ any hot food, when you feel dis-comfort in your mouth, just place a piece of bread on your tongue. after every minute or so, just replace the bread.

not to sidetrack the thread but remember when the show had the contest where if you didn't answer a question right you had to down a shot of some of this Hot Sauce! if so, did anybody get concerned like i did, i really thought taking 3 or 5 shots of this stuff could seriously hurt someone?

I just saw this on Good Eats.

It was most likely a Habanero although it could've been a Scotch Bonnet or jalapeno depending on what your capsaicin (sp?) tolerance level is.

I tried my first Habanero pepper Saturday and the heat wasnt to bad in my mouth. It was terrible when I rubbed my face with the juice. I had a red streak on my forehead, down my face and the corner of my mouth that burnt like a son of a bitch for a few hours. Habenero juice is deadly - what would have happened if I would have rubbed my eyes?

Threw the rest down the disposal and filled the whole kitchen with pepper spray that fucked up a few others.
