not sure about that one but i do not believe 'if there is a god' that he knows what the future brings...
if he knew what was going to happen for eternity i would believe it would have driven him insane. plus then 'what would be the point'... he would know exactly who would believe/love him and who wouldn't, who would make it to heaven and who wouldn't. there would be no suprises. why allow all of the suffering and pain so some may enjoy eternity...

I don't believe God knows what we are going to do. He gave us free will. As far as cancer and everything. He started the whole life thing rolling and like a parent has to step back and let things happen. What we do with these things is up to us.

P.S: God didn't write the Bible so it's all fucked up.

how did he allow evil into heaven and the angel revolt?
There's plenty of theological debate over this question.
My answer would be that the concept of free will applies to the angels as well.

the angels of heaven were created as god's servents and it wasn't until man was created (w/ free will) that the angels became resentful.
again, if heaven is pure good, god would have foreseen the rise of evil.

Well the good book says God didn't foresee the rise of Evil; God Created Evil. At least He says so in Isaiah 45:7
"I form the light, and create darkness;
I make peace, and create evil;
I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things ...

Been watching Dogma recently?
Heh...
As ridiculous as that movie gets, Kevin Smith was pretty spot-on with a lot of his religious law/dogma/mythology in that film. Even the retarded-looking "shit demon" is a tale that dates back from just a few hundred years after the death of Jesus.
Maybe we're God's version of "The Matrix"...he puts us down here and sees how we can surivive. If we fuck it all up, he starts us all over again...maybe that's happening on countless planets around the universe. Maybe our "correct" version is a version of us that survives and thrives fully on our own WITHOUT thinking we're "relying" on a God, and THEN we get our true reward...

Well if that's the case, what if it isn't a God, but rather just a toaster. I'm sure people have considered everything and anything as a possibility, therefore making us all fail no matter what. That's what free will is and does.

But what if God, who created evil as cted above, planned the revolt so that he may strike down the greatest of his angels to create Hell and have his angel rule over it?

No, atheists "fail" because they have to already consider/believe in God to NOT believe in God.
It's very easy to understand a concept and not believe in it.
Obviously, but what I'm saying is that the "passing" of that test would entail not even the CONSIDERATION of God in the first place. Thusly, the atheists that exist now have failed just as much as the rest of us, because they still had to consider God in the first place to reject him. In a roundabout way, they still have a dependence on God so they have something to NOT believe in.
So we've all flunked at this point.
See you on the next go-around.

i think its a bit off to question if god is infallible, it's a bit like asking how much/long is an infinite entity ...
wouldn't an all-knowing and all-powerful god be capable of anything ...?
is it only the god of christianity, islam and judiasm with such a moniker of power and ability ... do hindus bear such burdens of faith ...?

I always wondered why god chose to send his son to the middle east.
Why not China or Central & South America - which had a larger population at the time he allegedly turned up.
Why did he ignore the Mayans? Human sacrifice was part of their culture. god is on earth, the perfect time to just pop up over there and say "Hey, the killing of innocents for good crops and rain? Not necessary."

It's too much of a coincidence that so many major religions have such prominent Messiah-like figures featured in their beliefs.
Who's to say Jesus was God's only "son?" Look at figures like Mohammed and Buddha..."Messiah, son of God, prophet, enlightenment," whatever, these are all very similar figures in history. So maybe God didn't just send his "son" to the Middle East.
