Just read the WWE bought out Steiner's contract. Too bad I was a big fan of his. They should have brought him in as a heel and put him on Smackdown. OH well

Hope to see him in TNA soon.

Eh... he's done man. He's just a massive steroid addict with zero wrestling skills.

People who struggle to walk usually don't make good wrestlers.

While he wasn't worth keeping around, they just let him sit home and collect a paycheck for a few months, even after he was medically cleared to wrestle.

That, I do agree with WNEWstinks, was stupid. Smackdown has had a problem with credible heels, and there's no reason that they couldn't have placed Steiner on Smackdown. If they were going to let his contract expire anyway, there's no reason they couldn't have booked him in a program against someone and jobbed him out to them, helping the other worker get over based on Steiner's remaining name value.

They probably feared he would hurt anyone he worked with, be it intentional or just a product of his power & lack of effort, therefore putting them in an even bigger hole. It was probably decided that he was worth more to the company on his couch than in their ring. Good riddance.

The Royal Rumble, where he was injured by current WWE golden boy, Randy Orton.

your initial question was when was the last time he was on TV...he answered Royal Rumble...why would you follow that up by asking when was the time after that? that was the last time. thestuff keeps getting smarter.

Steiner wasn't on TV. Orton injured Steiner in the Rumble (gave him a groin pull I believe - you insert your own joke), which took two or three months to heal, but when he was cleared to wrestle they simply decided to let him sit out the rest of his contract.

God last thing we need is a Jarrett/Steiner match or Hardy/Steiner

I don't think that would be so bad.

i actually didn't hate steiner and was kinda hoping he'd come back and do something because there isn't a heel that i actually think is believable except HHH.

1) The rest of Evolution constitutes Ric Flair who is only good for tag matches and Batista who screws up like an average of a move a minute (I have calculated it, it hovers around a move every 70 seconds)
2) Kane looks like a retard
3) Bradshaw is the same Bradshaw that was in like bar room brawls a year ago
4) Booker T is just an angry black stereotype at this point and that prevents me from caring about his matches
5) Angle's ring ability really prevents me from even seeing him as a heel that I should hate. And half of what he says I think is funny or not that heelish.

I think the fact that there are only 5 proven main event heels is really telling in the first place and to say that I see Trish Stratus as the best heel after HHH is mind boggling. At least Steiner would be refreshing and I'd still be able to think of him from a few years ago in WCW.

zero wrestling skills

A least give him the repspect he deserves a say "with zero wrestling skills left". He was pretty amazing at one point. Granted, those days are long gone, but your comment suggests that he was never any good in the ring.

I'm going to agree with Ric Flair. Steiner was great because he was an amateur wrestler. With time, injuries, steroids and ego, there's nothing left.

Jumping Jesus Christ on a pogo stick.

A Hardy / Steiner match would be so colossally bad that one would quite simply have to crack one's knuckles and bust out the negative stars to rate it.

I mean, who would think that's a good match? A washed up worker who has virtually no mobility anymore vs. a burn-out who couldn't get motivated for a match if his life depended on it.

He's coming...

If that's true, it proves once again that Jarrett & Dutch Mantel are fucking morons who need to be removed as far away from the creative team as possible.

Vince Russo is the most talented writer even associated with the TNA booking team. Digest THAT everybody - because it has good and bad connotations.
