Well, it is only August but never to early for some football!
I am watching the game tonight against the Chiefs. Ron Dayne is 38 pounds lighter than last year, and about 100 times faster. He had 2 great runs tonight. Lets hope this continues into the season.
Both QB's looked good, while the O-line looked like a pasta strainer. They really are going to be a weak link this year.
So let the discussions begin!!

Idk what to think when it comes to my Giants...I mean Coughlin sounds like a bad ass who is going to kick everyone in the ass and get them to play football unlike Fassel....but the division is just too good I think

Yea the division is awesome. I think the Eagles may finally do it this year and win it all.
BTW, Fassell made all the players pussies and when the new coach made them sweat a little, they cried to the Union.
I bet it was Strahan

with the nature of today's nfl, i'm not giving up on a season yet to be played. if dayne's the real deal, and if warner can reach back a few years, its gonna be as sweet as it was in the last weeks of '02.

Best decision he could have made. Eli looked quite oirdinary against the Jets, and the line still looked awful. Let Warner take his the lumps & pray the line gels by the bye week (5 or 6) before you even think about starting Manning.

You would have to be REALLY shitty if you do not improve from 4-12. If they do not improve look for some season tickets going up for sale on Ebay very quickly. I see Dallas (and I hate saying that) winning the NFC East division and maybe Philly winning the wild card. But the Giants will go 7-9 or 8-8, but to think they would do anything close to 10-6 is high hopes. I will still root for the team and hope for the best but I will still be a realist.
And we all knew Warner was going to be the starter. If not he would have been on hell of an expensive backup quaterback.

Well it looks like the Giants are picking up where they left off last year. 31-17 drubbing by the Eagles. I saw very little pressure on McNabb and they let that team run all over them. I fucking HATE Owens and his showboat mentality. Now if only HE got bounced off of his head ala` Irvin style and had to retire I would be a happy man.
They better straighten up or this is going to be one SHITTY season.

The eagles are an awesome team. I really think they have a chance to win it all. So do not take the loss to bad. Hopefully next week they can bounce back and get a win.

Eli looked great. If you don't consider that play were he got laid out.
Did I hear right when I heard that Tom Coughlin fined Michael Strahan for coming to pratice too early?

Ok...I'll admit it. When I am wrong I am wrong and so far...it looks like I was totally wrong about the Giants this year.
I would have never expected them to be 4-1 with a 4 game winning streak going into the bye week.
They played good football on both sides of the field. Both offense AND defense. They looked really good and I have been. so far, impressed.
Tiki's ball handling certainly has improved a GREAT deal.
They went from being the worst team in the NFL with giveaways/takeaways to the best so far this season (+10)
Warner seams to be back into his old form. He is no longer throwing those 350 yard games but is doing a great job putting the passes on the money when he needs to. (Dixons dropped pass in the end zone at Dallas was his fault..not Warners)
Defense has tightened up...allowing less then 50 points in 3 games. Not bad at all.
Only complaint is when Warner is getting rushed he tends to tuck the ball in and take the sack instead of throwing it away. Things like that will tend to come back to haunt you later in the season and with some plays. Learn to get rid of the ball Kurt.
And when will the coach decide to get a good field goal kicker. He did a good job against Dallas but I would rather get someone who I do not have to hold my breath about when he takes the field.
I will wait to hold judgement on this for another game or two.
Aside from that good job by everyone.
So far...looks like I have been wrong...so far. There are still 11 more games to go.

SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH! You're going to jinx it Justice!
I was VERY skeptical coming into this season and was so defeated after the Eagles loss, but I'm happy with what I've seen so far. Obviously we can improve, but we're so much better already.
I got to go the the Giants/Cowboys game yesterday and it was so great. I hate the Boys so much but it was classic being in Texas Stadium when we won. There were way more Giants fans there than I thought there would be and it was fun trash talking with everyone around me. Go Big Blue!

When are people, including Coughlin, gonna learn that Dayne is a piece of shit and one of the biggest busts ever. How many times does he have to be put in to gain 1-2 yards before someone realizes he's not the player he was in college.
Christ, I want to punch the TV when I see him in when the Giants are inside the 5 yd. line. I just know he's getting the ball and 9 times out of 10 won't make it in.

Sheesh, I didn't see a beating like this coming...watch them get raped by Chicago via dumb luck.
Nice solid win. They took it to the Vikkings, who was the best team in their division.
So far the only team that had beaten them from that division is Detriot. (who played well today also)
Looking foward to the Chicago game now. Partially because I have tickets to the game!

I wish I knew you were there...we got there at noon for a 4 o'clock game...had a bitchin grill and drank all day, wings, burgers, filet mignon, the whole deal. Oh well, I think they play again in 4 years.

As my old football coach would have said "they played "piss poor". way to many penalties and turnovers. they should have beaten that team.

They should put Eli Manning in. And they should get Harry Carson to come out of retirement and throw gatorade on opposing players.
