Conan kicks Kilborn's ass.
And half of Kimmel probably didn't help either. Although I saw Kimmel interview a hot chick last night when I got home and it was the most uncomfortable thing i've ever seen in my life.

as much as i love jon stewart, i kind of miss kilborn's 'daily show' -- a little less highbrow, and a bit sillier with a wider breadth of targets ...
the late show did give us david grohl's sweet cover of 'tiny dancer' ... if you haven't heard it, it's worth a download ...

I really loathe how both Comedy Central AND ESPN have glossed over Kilby's time starting "The Daily Show." Not even a single mention...NOTHING. I love TDS today, and Stewart rules, but Kilborn got me watching it from day one in the first place. The quality of this three years hosting TDS can't be underestimated...yet they are, AND basically completely ignored.
Awful.

Guess I'm in the minority with people that actually liked that show.

I liked that show when it started, but haven't watched in years. I wonder who will take over. Hopefully not Carson Daly.

I liked how snarky Kilby was on TDS. Tried watching Late Late Show when it started, but it just wasn't as good.
And let's not forget him as the asshole in Old School.

So who does everyone think should replace him? It's hard to say because I had never heard of Conan before he got Late Night but I have grown to love that show.

Not to steer this thread off course, but I've been really disappointed with TDS in the past few years. It's been nothing but easy applause from liberal college students in Manhattan.
I never really watched Kilborn, but it seemed like lately he was just starting to get comfortable.

Conan was a writer before the Late Show, most notably on SNL and Simpsons.

Funny, cause Craig was on Old School Sportscenter last weekend. If he does go back to ESPN now, I say dumb idea on CBS's part for letting him go back to do one more SC. Yes Mojo, those Daily Shows with Kilborn were gold!
I am ADDICTED to that Conan! Anyone see last night when he did his spoof of Amazing Discoveries for his new DVD's that are out? Brilliant! Bad sweater and all. Speaking of which, I NEED that sweater or one like it for the Holidays this year. it will be sure to make my family and who knows, maybe another family nauseous over dinner.

Don't even try to say you knew who the hell he was. We knew he could write funny, but nobody saw him do it.

Of course I knew of him. The man wrote the Monorail episode of "The Simpsons," which was and still remains my favorite episode of all time. Like the nerdlinger I was, I specifically looked out for episodes with his name on it, and squealed like a little girl when they announced him for his own talk show.

In that case, I stand corrected.

Conan was an Associate Producer during the third season of the Simpsons.
What the hell is with Kilborn's "In the News" bit? Isn't that called a MONOLOGE?
