Is anyone getting these storms also? Lightning has hit my area about 5 times so far including my office building. We lost power for a few seconds.
Took a look at the weather.com map and it showed this...

I am working in West Caldwell NJ. Right where Bloomfield Ave. ends and Rt. 46 kicks in.

The skies are just light gray now. Looks like the worst of it has passed. I am about to go out for lunch now.

Jeeze! That was SOME fuckin' thunderstorm. It just passed by here about 15 minutes ago. It's gone now, but man, there were some thunder cracks that were louder than I've ever heard, EVER. I think something may have exploded on the roof of my building, because on the 2nd SUPER LOUD thunder, an electric charge went through the radiator pipe in my bathroom. I actually heard the little electric buzz noise. Also, the clock on my stereo got fucked. It was flashing, so I had to unplug it and plug it back in.

Shit! This morning around 5am I had the worst lightening storm I've ever seen and it scared the living SHIT out of me (because, well, it's 5 in the morning and I'm about to go to sleep and I see the outside just lighting the fuck up).

Anyway, I wake up around 1:30 today and only 30 minutes later we get fucking thunder and lightning. By 2:30 outside my house it's BLACK AS NIGHT. Worst fucking storm I've seen all year. I know you guys have had bad storms, but up here in Connecticut, I haven't seen much up until today.

I work in Rye, NY, and it was fucking darker than anything around 3-3:30. Couldn't see a thing outside. I like thunderstorms, only they kinda scare me a little at night if i'm alone.
I'm kind of disappointed, because I really want to check out the meteor shower tonight and tomorrow, but not sure how the visibility is going to be.

Thunder storms are nothing for whats ahead for me down here. Ive got 2 huricanes comming. I doubt they'll hit but you know everyone goes crazy and stuff, buying up all the water , and the canned food.
