Fugazi and Me...

Taking a dip in lake me...

I got off the phone a little while ago with one of the members of Fugazi, and am very excited - I've been given permission to use Fugazi music, including some original soundtrack quality stuff recorded by one of them, in a documentary I've been working on.

Anyone who knows anything about Fugazi knows how protective they are of their material, so I consider this a huge honor, and hope to make something that they won't regret getting associated with me.

I've also been given the green light from another old time Dischord person, Nathan Strejceck, and may include some old, old, old Youth Brigade tracks in it as well.

If everything works out, and we can get a public showing in the DC area this fall at one of the art houses, I will send the word out.

Congrats! Thats awesome. Fugazi and Youth Brigade made some amazing music.

It's a no budget doc with a bit of a political bent. Right now I'm too close to it to see if it's actually going to come together, or if it's going to be ponderous.

It will bend a little to the left, but not rabidly so. It's more of a document of a day, and I do have "both sides" on hand to chat about it, along with footage that doesn't really show either being in the right or the wrong, since it's just a day.
