For me it would be shai hulud's last show with geert and under the name shai hulud. The whole preformance was just amazing and then when i got up stage i looked out to the crowd and saw the whole area was packed. That was just amazing to me.

Live Aid in Philadelphia - summer 1985.

The first show of what would be Joe Strummer's last tour, a few years back.

The Grateful Dead at RFK stadium (with Tom Petty and Bob Dylan) the day before Jerry Garcia went into his 3 day coma - July of 1986, I believe.

Brian Wilson's "Pet Sounds" tour in 2000. Perhaps the greatest album ever made performed in it's entirety. Brian's voice may be a shadow of its former glory but it was one of the most emotional shows I've ever seen.

Hopefully he'll top that with his fall tour of the entire long-lost album "SMiLE".

Good great God.

This is hard.

I'll need to dwell on this.

The No-Nukes free concert at Battery Park in 1979.

When Stevie Ray suprised his brother Jimmy on stage with the Fab T'Birds at the Beacon Theatre.

When after a series of audio and PA mishaps, John Mellencamp came on stage at MSG and said that the rest of the concert was free and I could return the tix for full face value - then went on to preform for another 2 hours.

Several others that are escaping me right now, will get back to this thread later.

i went to the jones beach installment of that tour with me ma, and it was absolutly wonderful ...

back in 2001, my buddies and our girlfriends/wives went to see luna perform a free show at WTC in august ... we'd seen them countless times, and it was a great night among friends ... then the world changed six weeks later ...

at the end of september that year, six of us went to see wilco at townhall ... hearing those songs with everyone singing along to 'california stars' and 'passenger side' meant the world on one of those transcenental how wonderful music can be ...

Moshing (in the original sense of the word not this mandy pandy bopping up and down the grunge/alternative era of the mid-90's brought us) with Billy Milano and M.O.D. on stage during a bum rush in 1989 on the Gross Misconduct tour.

Stage diving 3 consecutive times with the third landing my ass right on the hard floor or The Trocadero and getting up and having Steve Sousa tussle my hair and growl upon me getting up. That was on the Exodus tour with Body Count and Suicidal Tendencies.

Seeing Overkill on The Years of Decay tour at The Troc and having all the sprinklers go off during the set and there were topless girls on stage and a waterslide ont he dance floor afterwards. That show was cancelled but the cool thing back then was that Sunday shows at The Troc would happen at the Airport Music Hall in Allentown the next weekend. My cable access show had an interview with Bobby and Blitz from Overkill that Saturday before the show and we got to hang with the band. Awesome times.

Another airport memory was getting to interview kreator on their tour in 1991 with Morgoth and Biohazard and we got to hang on Kreators tour bus and they offered us weed and it was a blast. We also stumbled across Morgoth and we spoke with Mark the singer and got to tape their set along with Kreators soundcheck. Billy from Biohazard was also doing push-ups over the hole in the backstage floor that looked right down into Erv's Strip Club. I also threw a toilet that day.

Early 1991: Seeing NIN at the old 9:30 club and shaking Trent's ankles during "Head Like A Hole" was kind of fun.

3 original members of Grand Funk Railroad at the Beacon in 97' They had the Bosnian Orchestra behind them and it was the first time i got to see them all together. Considering they have been my favorite band since approx 1970 it was a big drill and they rocked the sold out theater...

in 98 we sat at a table that was up against the stage at the Trump Marina and right in front of Mark Farner... the drummer Don Brewer shook my brothers hand and later gave him a drumstick which i have in my basement...

every time i've seen bright eyes, i feel like i'm a part of greatest moment in music ever. and, every time, i am.

also, seeing radiohead the two nights in liberty state park was pretty fucking amazing.

and my number three is gnr, metallica, and faith no more at giant's stadium back in the day. but i think i might have been a little young to appreciate the importance.
