I saw a commercial last night saying that the last episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force will be aired August 15th at midnight on cartoon Network.... soooo sad :(

Last Episode? We Think Not

Yes, we've seen the bumps from Adult Swim. Do we think they're funny? YES! Do we think they're real? Hell no. This is the same stuff they did before when the DVD's were coming out. This is the same stuff they did when Harvey Birdman was reaching its last episode of the season. We're not falling for it.

We the editors, as well as SEVERAL fan sites have schedules for Adult Swim, some going as far as the first week of October. All show the set of Aqua Teen shows we have listed, as well as blank spots for episodes that haven't been made yet. On top of that, (small commentary here), how stupid do the people at Williams Street think the fans are? ATHF is their biggest money maker. To end it without a good reason would be ratings suicide. Plus, what are they going to replace it with? More reruns of Brak? Granted, they occasionally have an anarchist attitude toward their product, and love to mess with fans frequently by doing stuff like this. But really, is anyone with a computer and an IQ over 75 really buying this one?

To our knowledge, it's not going away. And if by some reason it does go away, we're sure it's just the staff screwing with the fans, and they'll bring it back eventually. But again, we say, To OUR KNOWLEDGE AND FACTS WE'VE BEEN GIVEN, THE SHOW WILL STILL BE ON THE AIR AFTER AUGUST 14TH.

Also the last new episode was called "The Last One," so I think they're just effing with you

Yeah, that have done this before, with ATHF, SGC2C, "Sealab 2021"...and the only one they've rightfully cancelled is "The Brak Show." Other than that, shows never die on Adult Swim...they only go into limbo.

Yeah, it was finally cancelled "for real" about a month ago...but it'll still hang around. They have four seasons' worth of episodes (60+), so they need to pump it up earlier than the ungodly 1:30 AM slot AND put it out on DVD, ASAP.

Yeah, don't worry about Aqua Teen, they are still popular.

Unfortunately, I LOVE 'Home Movies' which is a lot less popular.

Don't say that Mojo! To me, that show is perfection. I didn't catch on until the end of the 2nd season though. I actually taped EVERY episode they showed this season so when I'm fiending for them at least I have my one season to watch. I know they're trying to release it on DVD but they're having issues with the companies involved in the production of the cartoon I think. I'll be the first in line to get it though. They need to hurry. I don't even really watch Adult Swim once Home Movies season ended.

Yeah I'm not buying this one either. If they cancel it for real I'd be so pissed! Family Guy, Futurama, and ATHF is my cartoon power hour... and a half!

Another Contra and LSP joint production

Sorry to say it, but it's true, Aggie. It was officially announced on the Adult Swim website last month. Probably didn't fucking help they premiered the last six new episodes at 1:30 in the fucking morning Sunday night/Monday morning!

The DVD conflict resolves mostly from the fact the show was making new episodes for two different networks over its history (UPN and then CN), but the production company is confident they should start coming out on DVD within a year.

My biggest beef is that "Home Movies" is on AFTER "Baby Blues" and "Mission Hill," which is like baking a delicious cherry pie but making the crust out of shit.

Seriously. They could've sprung for something like The Tick or The Critic. I don't think they're on CC anymore, are they?

Hopefully, they can get H Jon Benjamin a role somewhere on one of the new AS shows because that guy slays me.

"The Critic" is still on CC a couple times a week during their 2-4 AM block. "The Tick" 'toon has been gone for years, and somebody should pick it up. Same with old episodes of "Dr. Katz!"

"the Tick " ruled, but they might have killed it with the live action version.

Yeah, but the fact that you had to do that to keep your precious Arli$$ makes it all very suspect.

there's something about SeaLab and Aqua Team that doesn't work a lot of the time...

it's that way offbeat humor that just doesn't grab me...there are occasional funny lines but its not consistent...

i can see how some would find these shows the most hilarious animated comedies on television, but for me, they're just a little above average...

Woohoo can't wait to see my toons tonight. The much anticipated, so called, last episode of ATHF is on tonight and I'm excited. It's funny being excited to see a 15 minute cartoon but its the little things in life that I usually take the most joy in.

"Remooned" airs tonight at 12 on cartoon network

Am I the ONLY one who has noticed the commercials always say, "see the last ATHF episode...EVERY Sunday?" How can you have a last episode EVERY week?

It ain't cancelled.

So what will become of SPACECATAZZ (or is it Spacekatazz)?
The show (featuring The Moonanites and The Plutonians) was supposed to replace the Professors' segments at the beginning of every episode, eventually becoming one longer episode.

I forgot it was Sunday night (like I said, the beers). I would have taped Adult Swim.
