<p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3">Okay, it looks like my comments are somewhat misunderstood. I'm not saying my point because I want another source of batching material or wants tits non-stop. I just think that given the subject matter of the show, the fact that they don't have that much nudity feels a little wrong, like they are going out of their way not to show anything.</font></p><p><font face="Arial" size="3">As another example, let's take the Sopranos. I don't think anyone will argue that Sopranos is a better show than Entourage (or at least was at one time). Sopranos has no problem showing nudity (and not just at the Bing). They don't always show it, but they often do. Yet, will anyone say that doing so "ruins" the show, makes it "over the top" or porn? </font></p>

I dont think anyone is saying nudity will ruin the show or that they dont want nudity. I dont care either way. I think what everyone IS saying is that the show is so good with or without it. I dont even notice whos naked anymore on the show. Its such a great show with great characters and incredible one lines that you just get all caught up in that. Seeing a hot nude girl is just a bonus.

Why do so many people dislike this show? Everytime I'm reading something about it, it's filled with quotes like "worst show on TV", "unfunniest 1/2 hour ever", "total piece of crap", etc., etc. Granted, it's not the greatest show out there, but how can you not love Ari Gold?
Anyway, what did everyone think of the season premiere last night? I'm guessing not much as no one brought this thread back up yet. The whole Queen Mary party boat thing kinda turned me off a bit. I mean, come on. Do you have to be that shallow in Hollywood to need a party to that extreme? The whole Medellin thing could get interesting if Ari can pull it off, which I'm sure he will so as to justify keeping him on the show. Oh, and Carla Gugino has great tits.

I was a little disappointed, I didn't feel like much happened in the episode to keep it interesting. Finally, at the end when Vince was said to hold off to see if Ari comes through, that was something to actually move the story forward, besides that there really wasn't much going on. But I did laugh at every part with Drama's billboard.

I don't know...I think the 30 minutes is just long enough for the show. I don't know that they could fill an hour. Entourage isn't really an in-depth character development show.
I thought it was a so-so episode, although I really liked the ending with Vinnie Chase giving his chick agent the snub on the new project...it already shows Ari is back in his head.
If I had to guess, Vinnie's going to start banging this chick, and she's going to start crafting his career based on what she thinks is best for him as opposed to what he wants to do. It'll come down to something where she could have gotten him a project he really wanted, but didn't, because she didn't think it was best for him...Vinnie kicks her to the curb, and Ari gets it for him.

Every person I know loves this show, but we are a bunch of shallow people so thats that. I do wish the show was an hour long and yes it could be. By the time the show gets going its already over. I'm always wanting more. This is by far my favorite show on TV. The characters are so well established. Ari is TV Gold. Drama and Turtle are to funny together. Eric brings stability to the crew and Vinnie is the star. He's probably my least favorite character, I like him but not as much as the rest of them. Plus all the hotties on the show make for pleasurable viewing!!!
I almost forgot lloyd's interaction with the guys and Ari is reason alone to watch the show. I cant think of a show that had a cast with so many characters that they are all the lead and everyone of them is great.

Ari has always been good, Lloyd is fantastic on the show as well. Now the new agent make it 3 people on the show that I enjoy watching while the others can go screw (I guess Vincent is, literally)
BTW was the parking garage that Ari was in when he was coming back to the office the same as the parking garage at the old place that Ari was fired from? When Ari was fired by Malcolm McDowell who plays almost the same role on Heroes now (just with a super power)

I think they keep them at 22 minutes, so they can eventually sell them to TV. Just like soprano's on A&E
Who would watch this on regular tv? They would beep out or change fuck to fudge every other second. It would sound like atrain wreck.
dont you hate when they put movies on regular tv and do this sht? I hate it, it ruins the whole movie, it makes a joke of it. Shit, fuck, or whatever are just words, let them air the original unaltered versions or dont air them at all.

I agree, I thought they were going to make her a cunt or she was going to do something that could ruin his career and thats why he goes back to Ari. Now it seems like he will either be dating her so he cant be her client or the tention of a break up will make the working relationship weird. They could make him fire her and then she claims sexual harasment. I doubt that, we will see. Tonights story with drama was really good. No lloyd this week, hes funny.

I have a question. Normally when they do the "Previously on Entourage" gimmick at the beginning of the show, they show clips that have some bearing on that night's episode. Why did they replay clips of Drama getting punked by Pauly Shore. Unless I missed it, that had nothing to do with last night's episode.
Overall, I thought it was a decent episode, but the Drama/horse subplot was just dumb.

Give me a break with all this "I have principles and standards" bullshit. You are a fucking actor in Hollywood who has only had one big hit to your name. Enough with the whole you refuse to take other roles and will only do Medellin crap.
Halle Berry won an Oscar and then went on to do Catwoman.
Charlize Theron won and went on to play Aeon Flux.
Nicolas Cage won and, well, his stellar work after that speaks for itself.
Yes, I know, comparing a fictional character to real people is silly, but it's just my point that there are no standards in Hollywood. You pretty much do what is put in front of you and for a nobody like Vinny Chase to be making demands is pretty unrealistic.

I agree. I found it incredibly annoying that he had someone willing to make the movie for him, all he had to do was another movie that most likely would have been a blockbuster and made him a lot of money, and he flat out refused. Actors do bad movies all the time to build themselves up so they can get roles they actually want. For me, he really has become the least interesting character on the show. The only thing interesting thing he's done all season is sleep with his agent.

So I may have missed it, but I didn't get something. Did Vinnie and E buy Medellin for $5 Million? E said something about how he had more cash that Vinnie but then said he had $237,642. Did they sell the house or something?
Also was the Lincoln wrecked in a previous episode? I was mentioned in relation to the horse thing last week and then fixed up this week, I assume it the same car from the opening credits, did something happen to it before this season started up again?

I also thought the TMZ website mention last night was a cheap way for them to get mentioned on the front page of the website for more promotion. I guess it is smart on their part, but it kind of took me out of the show for some reason. I know all the people they meet are playing themselves for the most part, but i hated the TMZ plug.

Q: What about Pablo Escobar do you find so fascinating?
Pablo Escobar was an outlaw who terrorized a whole country while remaining the biggest philanthropist his people has ever known. In 2007, what could possibly evoke more of a stir than to explore the humanity of that kind of evil?

I love the show, but I know its terrible. I really liked it this season because it has acted as a palate cleaner after I watch John from Cincinnati. I need to not think for a bit after I watched it, and Entourage is perfect for that.

i feel like this is a show where the arcs do not need to move slow though. there are plenty of things that can happen to an actor in hollywood. unlike soprano's, where it is not realistic to kill someone every 2 episodes, vince can have a lot of shit happen to him. i just feel like they never develop anything more than a few lines, then just get into random banter.

Among the story lines for Season 5 will be the return of Domenick Lombardozzi, the actor who plays Dom.[3] Ellin wrote him in intending for Dom to be a permanent fixture of the entourage.[3] Unfortunately, he didn’t anticipate the audience’s negative reaction to the character, which ultimately led to Lombardozzi’s early exit.[3] Ellin has a personal goal to bring Dom back, but this time with a storyline viewers can empathize with. Giving him terminal cancer is one idea that was considered. It is also rumored that rapper Saigon will return to the series in Season 5.[3] Ellin says he has four more seasons of scandalous behavior in reserve, implying that Entourage will probably run through season eight

cause they usually dont write shows out past a few seasons at first. The first 3 seasons were written before the show was made, thats why they were solid and season 4 got pretty weak comparitive. it did seem to follow a similiar storyline/pattern from previous seasons. the main difference here is that Vinny Chase is on the way out instead of being the goto guy. Also, E is much more of a "suit" now then just Vinny's friend. I think the whole dynamic of that friendship is totally different.

Overall, it was a decent first episode, but I'll say the same thing about Entourage that I've always said about Entourage.
They blew a golden opportunity.
They should have set the goal of six seasons. The first three about Vinnie Chase's rise (similar to what they actually did do in the first three season) and the final three taking a much darker turn about his fall from grace.
Instead, they chose to keep the 'feel-good, nothing's gonna stop us' vibe of the show.

Based on what I saw in the trailer for next week it looks like a common theme this season may be Vinny trying to get back his popularity.
It'll probably end in some corny way with him being back on top but a dark ending, as you suggest, would be good.
I an also see one of Eric's clients, most likely that young kid, causing some tension.
Mayeb that kid beats Vinny out for something and Eric has to question his loyalty versus his future.

every single celebrity that comes on the show plays him or herself, i dont understand why Bow Wow isn't just Bow Wow, instead he's playing some character. its stupid.

Was the director of " Danger Beach " a real guy as well ?
I know I've seen that guy in movies ( I think he was the guy in the The Last Boyscout that Willis kills by hitting him through the nose ) but wasn't sure if he made the jump to directing or if he was just playing a part.
...I agree w/ whoever it was that said no more shots of Turtle w/out his shirt.
And enough already with the Yankee hats you fuckin' poser.
Oh look at me I have Yankee hats in 25 colors and styles.
F*ckin' jerkoff !!
...
Anyone (besides awkwardly balding Ron Howard) that wears a baseball cap outside of a sporting event over the age of 21 needs a backhand. The Turtle waverunner scene had me rolling.. finally a beach scene outside of Gilligans Island where I woulda won a pose off.

It was good to see Ari on fire again last night. Some of you mentioned Dom, I also hated this character he was last seen down the Jersey shore.

That would require the actors to actually be versatile and the writing to be more than one-dimensional.
And I do enjoy the show...but come on, it is what it is.

i would want Bow Wow's money and the long list of pussy he's had. The only thing I wouldn't want is the name "Bow Wow".

I think it makes more sense for Eric to have one of his first clients be a strugging actor, than a famous rapper turned actor, if Bow Wow were to play himself.
