What are some players that are playing now who will be in the Hall of Fame? And what hats will they wear when they get in? Well let's get the obvious ones out of the way....Bonds with the Giants, Clemens....but I'm not sure about what hat he wears, Randy Johnson with the Mariners, I think Manny will probably get in just because of the sheer numbers he's putting up...Rivera with the Yankees.....I could see A Rod but he isnt quite eligible yet.....same goes for Pujols....anyone else have people I forgot about

I may go to Rider but I'll always be Marist Mike. Maria Sharapova is the future mother of my children.

He will. He's a Yankee. Hell, the veteran's committee put Rizzuto in, and he didn't have the numbers to back it up.

A-Rod and Jeter are a no-brainer.

Palmiero is also on his way to Cooperstown.

Griffey, probably.

Piazza? No way.

You are crazy, Piazza is def. going in. He is one of the best offensive cathers off all time, and def. in our era.

And I do not think Jeter is a shoe in.

I guess I am just dismissing him because of the way he is leaving the game. He's on his way out and he's having an overall terrible year. You usually don't see that horrible of a drop-off from a guy who makes the HOF. But that's also probably to blame on the fact that he's not taking steroids this year, so he's obviously not gonna perform the way people are used to seeing.

Nah, Torre's not in. He had a very good career but not Hall of Fame. He had one monster year when he won the MVP, but I think he was under .300 lifetime.

And if ChickenHawk had his way Tom Seaver wouldn't be in the Hall of Fame either.

Chipper's got to go in. He's drivin in 100 runs every year for almost a decade. Plus he's the face of the Braves during this decade of NL dominance so he might get the Jeter type of argument if his numbers aren't enough. Hopefully the Hall voters won't let in guys because of "intangibles" but if they do here's one instance where I'd be OK with it.

Piazza is a lock in my mind.

Smoltzy seems like a good bet. Especially if he keeps going in his closer role. Probably won't though, I think he'll go somewhere to be a starter and ruin it.

Pudge might make it if he keeps his numbers up for a few more years. Wonder if he'll go in as a Tiger?

I'll be interested to see if Palmeiro gets in or not. People say it doesn't look too good for him but being in the 500 club still seems like pretty powerful stuff.

Jeter will get in, simply because he's a good Yankee. Dont get me wrong, I'd love to have Jeter play for the Pirates, but his numbers simply don't justify induction.

Piazza will go in.

Clemens will be a Yankee.

It wouldnt surprise me if Griffey never makes it, although I'd absolutely love to see it happen. This guy was a hero of mine growing up.

Way, WAY too early to talk about Pujols. He's on the right track, but hes only been in the bigs like 3 or 4 years.

Griffey makes it first ballot. He was better then anyone else in the 90's. Despite injuries over the past 3/4 years hes got 500 homers and still another possible 5 or 6 years left in him, barring more injury.

Manny Ramirez.

Should come close to the 400 homer mark this season, career batting average of .317, 8 seasons w/ 100+ RBI. Will go in as a Red Sox if he continues to play here.

What about Schilling?

I am 100% agreeing with Manny. His numbers are awesome, and he is still going to put up big numbers for a few more years.

Shilling is in. 3.33 career life time ERA over 14 full years in the league. He was on some crappy teams which drags his wins down a bit, but he is over 2500 strikeouts.

And as for Clemens, I am going to go on a limb and say he is going in as Red Sock (sox?), his best years were there, and he won a lot of awards while being there.

Edgar Martinez announced he's retiring after this season. Do you think he gets in?

.312 BA 305 HR 1244 RBI .420 OBP

He's played 2013 games but 1422 were as DH. Should a full time DH get into the hall of fame?

if mcgriff can play for a team and finally get to 500 he will be in.. pujols even though it is early in his career will def go in if he can stay healthy and not turn into another griffey... pedro, johnson, schilling, clemens, maddux, glavine will all be in the h.o.f... pudge is 50/50, i think he he will get in... mariono rivera is definetly in on the first shot.. jeter's post season and world series #'s and rings will get him in there on the first shot...
