i was listening to the radio and "LOVE POTION #9" came on...on of my fave songs


and it got me thinking randomly if they really do exist or if people believe in them


so do you believe love potions exist?

I dont think there will ever be anything that can "make" someone love someone. But some stuff might temporarily lower someones inhabitions and make them more receptive to whatever. I couldnt imagine why anyone would do that to someone, and its kind of scary.Rohypnol (http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/0884.html) is a drung that is not available in the US, but is easily obtained overseas and in south america. It is comonly referred to as the "date rape" drug, as sexual preditors have used it to sedate their victims. Apparently, what it does is puts the person in a fog and prevents them from remembering anything that happened to them during the time they were under its influence.
When I was in highschool, someone put a hit of mescaline (sp?) in a beer I was drinking and I had no idea of it, and blanked out many hours of memory of what happened to be while under its influence. I learned about it 8 months later and was told that I was really badly effected by it and I was really enraged at the guy who did it to me and I wanted to wring his neck. Prior to that event, I had memories of things from my childhood that I was no longer able to retreive afterward.

I saw a movie this weekend that involved memory alteration, with implants that change your mood and perception of events and stuff.
