I began editing on the good old Video Toaster back in the early 1990s, and eventually the access station I do volunteer work at upgraded to the Trinity, which was really, really sweet.
About a month ago they upgraded again to the Video Toaster 3, and from what I've been able to do so far, I am sold - I love it. WOW!!!!
Having only seen other people working on Final Cut Pro and Microsoft Premiere, I'm not sure of the three if one is clearly the best. I'd like to make an investment soon (hey! guess who finally got a real job this week, kids?!?!?!?!!!) and would like some input.
(Also, if anyone in the DC area, especially Northern Virginia, and are interested in using a sweet editing facility - for free! - send me a PM and I can you the information on the area's best kept secret on video production).
