Currently: AJ Styles, who's one of the top workers in all North America right now.
Of all time: Probably Jyushin "Thunder" Lyger.

Steamboat WAS a heavyweight.
No matter what his body weight was, he largely competed in the heavyweight division.

You do have a point - in his younger years Waltman was a pretty damn good lightheavy. It was when his neck got fucked up that he began the nose-dive in ring quality. Even during later years, he still was a fairly decent worker (if an incredibly annoying one), but I think the "lifestyle" has really damaged him in the last 2 or 3 years.
With the rumors being that HHH is getting him his job back, who knows? Maybe we'll see him again on WWE TV.

if he does come back he should come back as 123 kid. as a heel of course
and better yet let him have a comeback attack on who ever the cruiserweight champ is at that time....

He'd have to come back as the 1-2-3 Chyna's middle-aged b*tch, as "kid" just wouldn't cut it any more.

Two simple reasons, hatetree.
1. He's not homegrown WWE talent, and therefore he's automatically a second-class citizen.
2. Thanks to the booker's idiocy (Gerwin, I believe), he's eternally stuck with a joke gimmick that is, at this point, rather stale and which no one takes seriously. He won't drop it, though, because they probably believe they don't have anything else to do with him and also because the gimmick is probably just popular enough with kids so as to make his merchandise somewhat profitable.

I feel they really missed the opportunity for a Super Hero 'Cane vs a now-evil Nova feud. Now Bucci's shafted to a fitness trainer gimmick, and Hurricane's... well, blah.

LISTEN AND LISTEN GOOD. they was holding back kidman for what reason i dont know. but plug helms in londons shows and helms and kidman would make better tag champs. i actually feel kidman should be pushed outside of the tag teams.. put em at least up for the second tier title. usa title after the cena booker fued is over. booker and cena are so over they should be in feuds to help other gets to the next level.......

I think the new "Little dictator" Spike Dudley would get my vote. What a great idea for a character, and Spike is using it very well.

i guess you don't count Benoit, but early WCW Benoit=awesome and I couldn't help but mention him. But my real favorites are Malenko for the wrestling and WCW Jericho as he's gotta be the guy that entertained me the most that I will ever be entertained by a wrestling character.
Right now I guess I gotta go with AJ Styles and Chavo if i had to go with a WWE guy.
