What if the Giants and Dodgers never moved?

What if they never went west? Now the Dodgers left because they didn't get a new stadium in Brooklyn but I don't know why the Giants left if anyone knows they can fill me in...I know one thing for sure if neither one left there would be no Mets in New York......it would probably be a lot of fun having that other team.....but I don't know if it would be fiscally possible.....you figure one of them would have had to leave eventually....especially now with the Yankees spending as much as they do you figure one of them would have said fuck it and left the city...any thoughts on this anyone?

i'd actually get to see some dodgers games instead of waiting for them to come to shea... i really wish they never would've moved out of brooklyn.. for the 3 dodger fans on the board they are playing at shea august 27,28 and 29.. im gonna be getting some tix if anyone is interested in going..

if they both didn't leave in the late 50s, at least one would've eventually left ...

as beloved as the two teams are/were, the fans didn't support the two franchises ... the growing urbanization of the neighborhoods surrounding each stadium coupled with the birth of suburbia left a lot of empty seats ...

some markets can't support one team, only a few even have two teams ... in today's market, three would be hard to pull off ...

Ditto, and it is very possibl that the Giants would have of been able to manuevar a deal with NYC for a stadium that would have of been built during the "Cookie Cutter" Multi-Purpose Stadiums..translating into a Stadium IN NYC for the Jets.

However NY never would have of had the joy of the year 1969 when the Jets and Mets won the World Series. And Casey Stengel might have of never really acheived immortality among NY Sports Annals. NY history would have of been different that is for sure.
