Do you find your hobbies changing with age?
I'm selling my house, and I had to make the backyard look nice, so I made a little garden and put some flowers and a couple of trees in there. There was a point where I was like, hey, this is kinda fun. I certainly wouldn't have said that years ago...What about you guys? Are you adopting new hobbies you would've never been interested years ago?
Masterbation will never loose it's fun so I'll have to say no.
Other then that, most of my hobbies are craft related and I've enjoyed it since I learned to do it and I don't see any reason to stop.

Yes.
I actually read for fun now. Because I had to read so much in school I never did it in my free time. Now I love having a good book to escape from reality for awhile.
And while this isn't a hobby, now that I'm older I find myself getting excited about stupid, unexciting things. For instance, I just spent about $600 on new tires, but boy was I happy about getting those tires! The fun never ends.
Oh, and gardening is gay.

Yes, and so does my vice of choice.
I've started fishing again, which I haven't done in years. That makes me real happy.
I'm really into books now as well. I find myself picking up one after the other and reading the book section of the Sunday NY Times.
I've also been visiting the Hayden Planetarium in NYC, which just has incredible lectures and shows that will blow your mind.
I've wanted to get another fish tank as well. I always had them when I was a kid. I wasn't allowed to have a dog. All sizes and kinds of fish, usually in 30 gallon or larger tanks. It would be fun to set one up again. I may have just been inspired!
Edit: Thanks for the offer Jeff. I think I'll be setting up a freshwater tank, but if I need saltwater help I'll contact you.

Sports and working out were my hobby's in highschool and freshmen year of college. then in the middle of college I basically did not have time for hobbies with work and school.
Now my hobbies are building robots and reading. Robots are my main side project as of now, but I really do want to get into fishing again.
And I would love to set up a fish tank, but that is way to expensive.

my love of music has plateau-ed a bit ... less interested in new bands, tired of seeing the same dozen bands play the same 90 minute set - although there are a handful of artist that I will look forward to new releases .
after moving into my new apartment, I was amazed how well I can do projects rather than paying someone .
my interest in computers has peaked a bit lately: spending all week with an outdated and shitty system at work, and having my hard drive crash twice in 18 months kind of takes the fun out .
my new hobby are comic books . I turned 30 a few weeks back, and I picked up my first comics/novels . I realize that I'm probably 20 years too late, but better late than never .

No, I haven't picked up a new hobby in a while.
I tried Yoga but couldn't keep up with it, not enough time.

I'm moving to a new apartment this weekend and while cleaning out my room I realized I don't need all these wrestling items. So to the dumpster went most of my stuff that I probably spent hundreds of dollars on years ago. Only things I kept were the action figures for my nephew and some shirts.
I think it's a good thing too. I'm trying to make the gym my new hobbie, but it's just hard.

My hobbies all take a lot less sweat nowadays. I play video games more now than when I was a teenager. Back then I was at the park playing some sport. What a waste. I could have been the Nintendo master.

I use to be really into art, drawing and painting etc. but I gave it up maybe 6 years ago and havent looked back. I use to also do cartoon voices but no longer even attempt it. I made the conscious effort to change that kind of pass time because it was becomeing more of a negative than an enjoyment. Meanwhile, I enjoy reading and excercising now, which I use to loathe. I dont think I do anything now that I use to really enjoy. But I do still find old tv shows enjoyable that I use to watch religiously, especially if I havent seen them in years.
