I love this song. I'm not a huge dashboard fan, I like their latest cd and thats about it, but I really like this song.

Dashboard Confessional. Sorry, I shortened it. They're on of the big emo bands out there now. They had that song 'Hands Down' that was big for awhile.

What's with the "Spider-Man" movies and fuckin' awful music?
First one had that goddamn "Hero" song with that douche-poodle from Nickleback, and Aerosmith sonically raping the old 'toon theme (Which makes no sense, since there's been a bitchin' Ramones version floating around for a decade now), and now the two big songs are by Dashboard Confessional and Train...how pussy-riffic.

I liked it so much better when it was just Chris, his guitar and his stool. I thought Further Seems Forever was his full on band. Ever since he made Dashboard his Further Seems Forever Part II, it has just stank. Why ruin a good thing?

Screamo is worse. But they do both come from the same place:
Satan's Asshole.

Forgot all about Screamo. But I figured if there is a genre of music that is actually called "Screamo", I wouldn't take it seriously.

i've been wondering, what differentiates screamo from alot of the new hardcore?
Is it just the same thing just having been given a catchy name so dumb people can like it without feeling out of common social culture?
http://img18.photobucket.com/albums/v53/monster6sixty6/guests/sV2_sig.jpg
Monsterone is the king.
Is it advisable to spread out all the conveniences of culture before people to whom a few steps up a stair to a library is a sufficient deterrent from reading?

Not a lot separates screamo from most of the new hardcore (most of the bands you would have seen at hellfest, for example). And that's just sad.
But there is a worse genre than emo/screamo, and that is fashioncore. Any music where clothes are more important than the music gets a big thumbs down from me.
Big Thumbs down.

I'm glad Mojo doesn't like Dashboard Confessional.
Because if he did, I'd probably cry a little.

I hate the whole emo genre because of the negative connotation that goes along with it. But it's really the same as any genre, some of the music in it sucks, some of it is great and everyone will claim they aren't in that genre.
Keithy, I'm surprised you aren't more into Dashboard with the whole unrequited love thing. I would think Chris' songs would fit you to a "T".
And Dashboard is so much better than Simple Plan.

But the DMV will still take 9 f-ckin seconds.

You would think that. But if I'm going to pick a band that represents my feelings the best, it would have to be Alkaline Trio.

That's the problem, they sound almost identical. The difference is that Screamo is hardcore emo (naturally having shitty lyrics) and harcore is just..well.. hardcore.

"I've got a big fat fuckin' bone to pick with you my darling
In case you haven't heard I'm sick and tired of trying
I wish you would take my radio to bathe with you,
plugged in and ready to fall"
Just a little morbid. That may be why I love them so much. Saw two of there shows and they are so great live.
