With VH1's I Love the 90s, does it mean that the 90s are old school? Was it really so long ago that we must get together to reminisce about Furbies and Pogs? Maybe it is, but I really don't think so. VH1 is really starting to freak me out.

i work with 2 guys that listen exclusively to rap and numerous times they have referred to songs from as late as '94 as old school, so maybe.

Monsterone is the king.
Is it advisable to spread out all the conveniences of culture before people to whom a few steps up a stair to a library is a sufficient deterrent from reading?

The 90's should be middle-age school.

No the 90's are not old school. To me something has to be at least 25 yrs old preferably more to be old school or at least one of the original of something. Run Dmc or Grand Master Flash would be considered old school rap.

not old or new but middle school. 6th grade like Jr. High.
Yes, the 90's are old school. Learn to live with it. Anything that people have forgotten about is old school, therefore anything that hasn't happened in the last 5 minutes is old school.

Thanks Furtherman, Reefdweller, and Monsterone!<br>You don't own space. So stop acting like you do.

It is pretty depressing to hear your prom theme on an oldies station. It's only been around 10 years!
I say 18 years is old school. If kids in college today were born after something happened then it's old school.

I'd say it depends on ones age.
If youre under 20; the nineties was a big ass chunk of your non-kid life; while us 40 years old look at the 90's through having lived the 80's and high school in the late 70's.
Class of 81 puts me right at the tail end of the 'Dazed and Confused' era, so the 90s to me; just another chapter in the book.

i was born that yr! mike, my friend is your age then - she graduated in 1981 from my high school- so the 1990's was basically when she was raising her kids- 41 now
her youngest was born in 1991

yeah the music has definetly gone downhill since the nineties namely the end of grunge and the beginning of what we call "punk rock" but is really a bunch of posers running around with spiked bracelets and dark hair pretending not to care so that we do...yeah the nineties were indeed the good old days
