Most underrated player in baseball

Theres plenty out there, but this one tops the charts. To hit 23 HRs and drive in 80 in 2003 and then have nobody mention youre name is pretty sad but when by July 8th of this year, you are batting .315 with 22 homers and 56 RBI and you dont get into the AllStar game, thats just ridiculous. Adrian Beltre has been one of the top 5 players in the NL this season and no one ever mentions his name! At this point he's batting .326 with 25 homers and 65 RBI, a definite MVP candidate this year, yet no one ever brings him up. Barry Bonds this, Scott Rolen that, Jim Thome, yet no one ever brings this guy up. WTF?! Hes put up good consistent numbers since 2000. Hes hit 20 or more homers in 4 of his last 5 seasons including this one and drove in 75 or more 3 of his last 4 years and is gonna definitely do it again this season, yet he didnt even make the fuckin All Star game! What gives?

Hes a solid player but he didnt make the AllStar game cause Rolen owns 3rd base. And he doesnt get MVP talk cause guys like Thome, Bonds, Pujols and Rolen are an obvious notch above Beltre. Hes just not outstanding enough to be considered for MVP. If you want to consider him, then why not Jim Edmonds or Burnitz or Miguel Cabrera? Cause none of the 4 of them are as good or even that close to as good as Bonds or Rolen.

Im not saying that hes the best player, hes not but all the guys you mentioned get a ton of publicity, this guy gets none.

Edmonds gets a ton of pub for his fielding...Burnitz? Come on now, when he was in Milwakee and had that one good year he got plenty of pub, now he doesnt get publicity because he plays in Coors field. Ive heard a lot about Cabrera but youre right, he doesnt get the publicity he deserves and neither does Victor Martinez but at least they made the All Star game. Not only did Beltre get next to no votes from the fans, but he didnt even get voted in by the players and coaches....

He got a ton of publicity last year, especially after winning the home run derby. This year no one is talking about him because he isnt having that great a year, plus hes been injured.

Because he hasn't done poo poo in his 6 previous years with the Dodgers, im skeptical because this is his walk year. Watch someone stupid will give him a huge deal and he will go back to stinkin it up again...it happens every year...

My choice is Vladimir Guerrero. After Bonds, I would say he is the best player in the game. There's nothing he can't do, hit for avg. hit for power, best OF arm in the game. And it really doesn't seem as if he knows what he's doing, which is freakin scary in itself. I've seen the guy take a pitch down by his ankles or a mile outside and put it out of the ball park or go the other way...and he almost NEVER strikes out

He just makes the game look so easy...
