You can search directly from your browser without having to go to Google's page, and it blocks popups. Generally that's it. It's convenient as hell. Kinda like cell phones and the 'forward' and 'back' buttons on a mouse, you never realise how useful they are until you get them, and now you wonder how you ever survived without them.

I would never even think to install something like that. I view it in the same terms of spyware. Plus I'm pretty lazy, but not lazy enough that I can't click a link to it. I have links on the toolbar below the address that I have every essential website I use on. I click the link and go to the page, simple as that. I get that it's convenient, but it's not something that's so vital that I'd have to have it built in. I'd like it if it were a part of the browser like Firefox has it. But as a seperate installable item, I won't do it.

Furtherman, I would suggest that that was being controlled by cookies. Dump them shits and empty out your IE cache and you should be okay.

Anyone looking to raise their page ranking in Google. If a site gets visited alot while being tracked, it raises the page ranking, which makes it appear higher in searches. At least it used to, they kinda changed that a bit.
