I just bought the DVD without even seeing it.
I liked it a lot.
Although it's set in Las Vegas and there is gambling and "old Vegas" involved, there's a great story behind it that's unrelated to just gambling and Vegas.
Anyone else see it?

Well, being a William H. Macy and Maria Bello fan helps for this film. Alec Baldwin is good in it and all, but it may as well have been an SNL character for him.

I think Macy is underrated
I never liked Alec Baldwin
He might as well be Ben Afleck's father to me

Macy kicks ass, but you literally see WAY too much of him in this movie.

I dunno, I thought Alec Baldwin was excellent in it. At his most vicious best since GlenGarry GlenRoss. Seemed like the first role in a while he really sank his teeth into. That scene where he kicked that broad in the stomach was insane. I was like, "Uhhhhh, did that just happen?"
Macy was excellent as always, he plays the lovable loser so well, and Maria Bello was good but I spent the whole movie wishing I was seeing Mary McCormack's rack instead.

Damn good movie. Excellent performances all around.
If you liked this movie see Paul Thomas Anderson's "Hard 8".
