In norfolk, va, there used to be a restaurant on VA Beach Blvd called "Chinkee-Chickee". The sign stayed up for years, depicting an asian lady in a kimono serving up a plate of fried chicken. As much as I loath P.C., I couldn't help but think, Damn -that shit is racist- or at least offensive on at least 3 levels. It's like Dave Chappelle said, sometimes something will hit you as so overtly racist, you can't even get mad. It's stupifying.

The sign was gone last time I visited- but it was there as little as 3 years ago.

Exactly. Bill Parcells left NY (where nary a racial epithet is uttered) went down to Big D and started using 'Jap Plays'. It's a well known fact he called them Pacific Rim-American Plays with the Jets and Giants.
