Over-rated movie "stars"

Is it me, or does it seem like all the big movie stars make movies that dont really make any money??! They're on the cover of every friggin' entertainment mag...every entertainment show, etc etc but, the movies themselves just dont bank up.

Julia Roberts- The queen of all box office! Huh?? "Americas Sweethearts", "I Love Trouble", etc etc

Renee Zellwegger- "Down With Love", "Nurse Betty"

Gyneth Paltrow- "Shallow Hal" & that movie where she becomes a fucking stewardess.

J. Lo - "The Cell", "Angel Eyes", "GIGLI!!!"

Kate Hudson- dont even get me started.


and on and on and on....

Sure there's always "Pretty Woman" and stuff but, COME ON!!!

Why does hollywood forgive these people??!

I was going to say Julia Roberts when I saw this. I also thinking Halley Berry. everyone goes nuts for her, and I just never see anything that special. Plus I hated when she cried about breaking down the race barrier at the Oscars and she is 1/2 white. And raised by her white mom with no dad in the picture (i think).

Speaking of which, does this thread only apply to actors? Because if not, I'd eagerly nominate Kevin Smith. "Chasing Amy" was his last GOOD film. Everything else has been mediocre to bad.
