That's right folks, another new form of the Bagle virus is rapidly spreading across the net as we speak. You might want to scoot on over to your favorite friendly neighborhood antiviral site for the latest updates.

For my PC at home I use two programs. Norton Antivirus and AVG.

For my laptop I use Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition and AVG.

I also have the same combo at work. I've also worked with Trend which some of the older computers here at work use.

Which one do you think is better. Have AVG ever caught something that Norton has missed? or the other way around? I am AVG at home and i think it is great, but I wonder how well it protects. i think I am just nervous because it is free.

AVG caught a virus and sucessfully removed it from my laptop. I have had maybe four or five incidents at home where a virus would either be on a disk or email and every single time Norton has caught it and has been able to remove it.

Also back in May when the Sasser virus was spreading it knocked my company out completely. The only thing that got my entire office up and running was me using Norton Antivirus (installed illegally), but it knocked out hundreds of viruses that were rapidly spreading. I never experienced anything like it, but Norton was a big help. My office was one of the first to be back up and running. Since then the company has moved to Symantec Antivirus. I like the program a lot. Plus I'm very impressed with AVG as well.

I think the combo of both of those programs on a system are about as good as you can get in terms of protection. It may be a little overboard to use two. But I do and I don't get viruses. Also my computer in the office was one of the only ones that was not infected during that whole clusterfuck.

I hated posting it because I knew it would make me starve as well. But it just had to be done.

With that said though, I could go for a egg bagel with cream cheese right about now.
