In the daily news this morning Rick delgado (for those who dont know O & A's producer) is now producing the new morning show for Hot 97. What does this mean for the O & A show? Will they ever be back on.

Hot 97 has added a new morning show producer who's familiar with FCC issues -- Rick Delgado, who produced the Opie and Anthony show on WNEW and also the Preston & Steve Show on WPLY. Miss Jones, E-Bro and Miss Info are currently holding down the fort until a permanent morning show is identified



I'm guessing that the new show that eventually comes on isn't going to be O&A, although I'd just want to hear them on any radio station right aobut now.

And what's with O&A anyway? They said they'd be back around this time. What's the deal?

It's called a non-compete.

Basically, what it means is that O&A can't be heard in New York City (satellite or otherwise) until four months have elapsed since the end of the contract.

Rick was producing a morning show in Philly for about a year. The rumor mill says, there will be a return of Psycho Mark when the show does go back on the air. Perhaps he will replace Rick as the shows producer.

I heard sometime last year that the relationship between Rick and O&A broke down because Rick was using bits from the show. He claims they were the ones that he created, they see it as taking away from the show, so all it comes down to is that it doesn't really matter.
