question about depression

My Mother has it and admits to it. Just thinking about her being depressed kinda makes me depressed, is this uncommon? Juts thinking about depression makes you depressed?

It can be depressing thinking about depression. But it doesn't make you clinically depressed.

Thinking about sex might make you "feel" sexy, but it doesn't make you "actually" sexy.

diagnosed depression, or chronic depression, is caused by a brain chemical inbalance so they say. feel bad, but dont stress, cause its not really anything you can help, even if you become an angel. it just happens, so they say.

if you ask me, i dont know, i think it is real, but one of those things thats way over diagnosed, like ADD.

its almost to the point now, a kid says one thing in class, he must have ADD.

i think depression is a real disease, just over diagnosed.

anyway, either way, its not your fault, and the best thing ive found to do when someone seems depressed is to talk about anything but the present. make them think of something else good
