Who decided to buy some shares today?
I bought 8 shares. Complete waste of money but I figured "why not?" and can now say I got in on the IPO

I don't see any major advances in pizza technology in the near future, so yeah, you wasted your money.

you better keep a close eye on what price you get those 8 shares for.
the problem is, when a stock initially offers, its very low, lower than it should be, and so everyone buys in. Problem becomes, by the time the people ahead of you, ie the guys on the floor, the brokers themselves, anyone else who is between your trade and the actual sale,, gets first dibs cause they are closer to the purchase source.
meaning your price will be higher then it was when you said im gonna buy that
example(not a true one, just hypo.):
steve's deli decides to go public, and opens at 6 bucks, but by the end of the day closed at 56
you bought it when the market open, it takes about 45 min to complete a trade, reguardless of the few that claim faster. you bought when it said 6, it goes through when the price was 22, you make about half what you thought.
so check out quick your price, if you got in low, god bless you

yea, you are a moron hawk
it doesnt matter about that, those kinda things usually only effect pharmasuticals or tech stocks.
buying dominos, believe it or not, was a great investment. alot of things will change stock price.
Domino's is a franchise with huge area, meaning guarenteed to make their money and meaning guarenteed jobs. 2 things, that in today's economy, make for very strong stocks.
he should do fine with dominos, because its a proven company, and so people arent afraid to invest knowing that the company will stay strong and stay high.
like i said, if you got in early, god bless you. if you got in a little later, its the same as buying a stock normally, cause dominos isnt goin anyway.
JUST REMEMBER, its a long term stock, so dont expect to make a profit in a week, thats a stock you are gonna wanna hold onto for awhile

Opened at $13.80. I got mine at $13.88.
8 shares isnt enough to do anything with. The damned $19.99 commision takes away from any profit I could hope to make.
Maybe I will sink $500 more into it later.
Maybe not.

You sure about that?
Maybe it's just in my neck of the woods, but all the Domino's around here closed down. They all changed to a place called "Pizza Ria" (and one of them already went out of business). I honestly thought the corporation folded. Too bad, because I love Cheesy Bread. Now I'm starvin'. Time to go burn the roof of my mouth with a chilidog.

did you even read past me calling you a moron.
you arent right, and you're now a dumbass cause you still think so.
why do you think tech stocks bounce up and down so much, cause technology changes, its a bigger thing, but much less stable.
dominos is goin to be very solid, and very stable.
but fine, go by stuff like priceline, im sure you can talk to all the "millionaires" who owned priceline at 125 a share, only to be broke when it fell all the way to 2 dollars a share, why, just because it didnt meet profit expectations.
dominos, however, always meets profit expectations. so yea, you must be right, much smarter to buy a stock that could be at 0 in 3 days

thats why i said hold it. if you had invested 10 dollars in microsoft in 1988, it would be worth over 2 million today. hawk seems to think stocks are like playing poker, and you can just buy, make money, and sell with no problem.
hold this stock, in a year, i guarentee your 8 splits to at least 16, if not more by then.
THATS how you make money

good. thats the best way. see hawk thinks he is right, and he is to a point on stocks like Lucent, and Qualcom (who can bite my nuts and stick the 8grand they cost me right up their ass). those stocks are very volatile and can make a ton in a short time, and can lose a ton in a short time.
you have a stock thats like a blue chip stock, like coke or pepsi. nothing is gonna change, but nothing bad will ever happen, they arent goin outta business, and they usually meet earnings. those stocks never rocket up, but never bottom out, and are the best ones for a long term. just sit back and watch it split and split and split over the next 30 years.
and 13.88 is an amazing price, so if it slips a little, dont worry, a stock like that should be over 30 steady in a year

Looks like a failure so far... (http://biz.yahoo.com/rb/040713/leisure_dominos_stocks_6.html)
In an interview, Domino's Chairman and Chief Executive David Brandon said concerns about higher prices on key ingredients like cheese as well as slowing sales in the fast-food industry had affected the deal's pricing.
Get ready for more of this kind've junk. Out the gates these idiots are already losers...
