This definitly could take the title
With honor- I have been waiting so long to see them and it was well worth the wait. They satrted off with Mirror. Then quickly going into third generation. I swear they have to be one of the funnest bands to see. Everyone was singing along to more then heroes and people were dancing. They played to believe which has to be my favorite with honor song. The new song they played was amazing i can't wait for the spilt with the distance to come out. They finished it all off with bridge and gaps which is very special to me because it is the song that got me into with honor. Support this band they deserve your attention

Cause for alarm- I havent really heard them. They were pretty good. I didnt know any of the songs so i cant do much of a review. The singer seemed really cool and joking about since how theyre unknown he can lie about his age.
Most precious blood- Holy shit, they definitly stole the show. It started with the great red shift and from there it was just chaos. This was my second time and as hard as it is to believe it was even better then before(that was a hard goal to acheive). The mosh was definitly brought during appiration. I enjoyed singing along to it runs in the blood. Im glad tehy played your picture hung itself this time, such a great song. Other highlights were screaming if this is your love, save your love during growing square eyes. It all came to an end with the lantern. Man i can't wait to see them again at hellfest.

After that i hung around for agnostic front for a little while but i wasn't digging the whole skinhead thing. Plus their merch guy was trying to sell me a shirt for 10 balloons and it sounded really weird. Before i left i took a picture with rachel and justin from mpb. Hopefuly i will get the pictures developed. I purchased a with honor and most precious blood shirt. It was a very amazing show. Hardcore for life bithces.

It's so crazy to me that Most Precious Blood has gotten as big as they have in such a short time. It seems like yesterday that they were opening up for my old band, and now they're huge. Rachel's a cool chick, good for her. They're a great band, they deserve the success.

I've been in quite a few, but the one I was referring to was a band you've never heard of called Sangwich. Good, old-fashioned, drunken, punk rock/hardcore, sing-along, dancing fun.

What's your group?
You have a website?
One of these days I'll get around to updating my page, and get some videos & mp3's of Sangwich up there for peeps to check out (at this point, I just have a bunch of my solo home-recording stuff up there). We were about to put out our first full length (recording & mixing were done - we were working on packaging), when all hell broke loose a little less than a year ago, and we dissolved. Not too long after that, I found out my wife was pregnant, and my priorities moved away from band practice twice a week and shows every weekend.

Our name is Scheduled Beating and our website is at www.christpuncherrecords.com right now (that's my fake record label I was going to start). There's a MP3 on there, and a couple more floating around but i'd have to give you the exact path.
We're fortunate to be in Baltimore where the Hardcore scene is pretty healthy. We play at one particular club a lot, and have played out of town a couple of times. We've only been together for about a year and a half and it's still fun.

So I went looking online to try and figure out where I posted the rough mixes of some of the stuff for our record for my bass player/singer to hear and I found a few Sangwich gems.
Listening to May 3rd makes me want to punch myself in the face. Keep in mind that it's a real rough mix, but it should give you a rough idea of what we were about. Pretty sharp contrast to the home recording stuff I do now. It's pretty funny.

I knew Paul was doing the Joe Coffee thing for a bit. I haven't heard about the reunion yet, but I'm sure I'll know when and where soon enough, as the bass player of Sangwich has been a good friend of the Rev. Bearer for years.

My old bass player has a new thing going with some of the guys from The Scarlet Letter, and he keeps trying to get me play with them. For now, I'm quite content (and busy) being a full-time dad (my daughter's only a few months old), but I'm sure I'll be looking for shows down in Maryland once she gets a little older.

Holy shit! You've never heard Cause For Alarm?!? That shoul dbe a staple in any hardcore collection. They had some good early stuff on Victory and Revelation I believe. Also a great split with the legendary Warzone that came out a few years back.
After that i hung around for agnostic front for a little while but i wasn't digging the whole skinhead thing.
Whole skinhead thing? I thought that most of the hardcore (at least back int he day) consisted of working class skins as fans. Not all skins but it was just a general part of the environment. Come to think of it, I never really cared who was there be it long hair or skin or punk or whatever. Labels bring things down. Didn't Sick of It All sing No Labels? I would love to see AF again if anything just to hear some of the classics. They demand respect out of anyone.
I am a bit lagging on the hardcore scene as opf late though as most of the new things i have heard just bored me. I do have the first MPB album which is awesome and have yet to hear the new one. Is it worth it to get? I kind of stray away from the tough guy HC but really love the stuff that makes you think and the stuff that is out there for a cause and is quite compelling and positive.
Then again I may be totally off base. Kick me into line if need be and give me a much deserved beatdown.

That's odd, the last AF show I went to the guy with the Swastica got his ass beat by about 20 guys, almost caused the show to be shut down, and resulted in about 10 teams of DC canine units waiting outside if there was trouble.
Maybe if you stayed, you would have heard this AF song:
Why should you go around bashing one another
If they look or think different, why let it bother
Everyones got their own style, their own thoughts
Don't let it bother you, don't let it get caught
Your fascist attitudes - we need the least
With a scene that's fighting for unity & peace
Don't need more anger; no more danger
Don't need to hate; stop before it's too late
Learning how to respect each other is a must
So why start a war of anger & danger among us
It's time to grow out of your nazi hypocrism
When you really don't want part of a fucked up system

I hated that one album they had so much I forget the title. During one of my housecleanings on eBay I cleaned up like $80 for that thing.
I had no idea about that stuff about Rick. Last time I saw him was in Allentown at Double Decker and although it took me MONTHS to get, I got my limited red vinyl press of Blood For Blood: Spit My Last Breath. DAMN! Was that an awesome record.

But weren't Earth Crisis from Syracuse and One King Down from Albany?i would still consider them apart of nyhc

being born and raised in albany, i will say that upstate hc is seperate from nyhc. especially back in the day, if you check the thank yous in a lot of 80's hc bands from elsewhere, the give props to albany/ troy. these days the scene, it's gone the way of metal, ie skinless.

I saw the Slumlords last night in Baltimore with Full Blown Chaos. Always a good time.
Hey M1, we played with a couple of upstate NY bands in recent months. Seems to be more Oi! these days, but there is a band we played with that just tore shit up called Severed Ties, from Middletown. I bought their CD and it was not as good as them live, but good stuff.
And the band Murderers Row from Albany is really damn good (they're more Oi!/Rock and Roll, but just awesome drinking songs).

Spring term is almost over, and I'm really hating my job. My lease on my apartment is amost run out. The tags on my car expire next week. If I'm ever going to do it, this just seems like a good time to kill myself..

The show at CBGB's on Sunday was one of the most amazing things i've ever seen.
Losers Somtimes Win
Irate
Agents of Man
Akward Thought
Billy Club Sandwich
The Slumlords
No Redeeming Social Value
Man it was fucking HXC heaven. It was like family, like it should be. When Irate played, there must have been 10 people up on stage with them, from all the other bands that were playing. The Slumlords covered Piece of the Axe, NSRV covered Time to Drink. If only it wasn't at CB's.
