Do not put official in your thread title unless you get permission from a mod. I'll let it go this time.

Just wanted to thank AJinDC for granting me permission to use the word official..the last thing I want is to be on the mods shit list...anyway the game comes out tomorrow and my roomate is going to pick it up...it looks like it has some cool features....the Dynasty mode has been upgraded..you can check up on kids grades to see if they are performing up to standards....if a kid is failing you have to suspend him till he passes or the NCAA will get on your back....there's also another feature where if you're say Florida and you're playing at Florida State..and you're at a critical point the crowd noise will make the screen shake....and your controller will vibrate too...if you try to do an audible in this sort of situation perhaps one of your receivers may not hear it and then your whole play is fucked up....really looks good...it comes out tomorrow..should definitely hold us football fans over till Madden

I'm not sure of what to think about this game. I mean added features are good, but micro management sucks (Think pricing food in Madden). And you know its always going to be your star running back failing off the team, not your backup O-Tackle. The added pressure to play away is a good idea, I just hope they don't make it impossible to win in someone elses stadium.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the 2005 NCAA human football season.

Spring term is almost over, and I'm really hating my job. My lease on my apartment is amost run out. The tags on my car expire next week. If I'm ever going to do it, this just seems like a good time to kill myself..</center>

I was fooled too Freakshow. I didn't realize it was an official video game thread.

BTW - I like how you divide the errands. The roomate picks up the game while you run out with your dad and pick up the condoms. Very efficient.

Actually I didn't pick up any condoms last weekend but that's another story

Don't be afraid of AJ. All you have to do is send him some sexy pictures and he'll let you do whatever you want.

Me too. Video games bore me. But GO AGGIES! :) As long as we beat Texas I will be happy.

You're kidding, right?? That shit kicks ass!! And both the video game and the humans got em excited as fuck.

Oh, September 18, Aggie. Remember it.

No, I'm quite serious. Their next improvement might be to send you boxes full of dirty jock straps to wash to add to the "realism" of owning a franchise.

In all seriousness, I want to run a football franchise. I'm studying sports management, or rather, I will be studying sports management in a little more than a month. As far as I'm concerned, Madden could add more obsessive little details to their franchise mode.

I'm a little disappointed in the game. There really isn't that much new stuff in it.

Cool New Stuff:
Graphics are better. Fans are 3-D, hold up signs (apparently you can make these) and have animations; the players also move a lot smoother and more naturally.
The crowd gets more excited and has an effect on the game. Supposedly this means that your players can miss audibles and get nervous. Haven't really seen that happen, but I've only played 2 games.
Your players ratings change as the game goes on. If your quarterback has completed a couple of passes, you will notice a (+4) or something next to his rating.
Your Coaching objectives are mostly to beat your rivals. In "Real Life", alumni get coaches fired all the time for not being able to do that. I thought it was realistic.

Bad or disappointing things:
No new teams. As a fan of D 1-AA and small school football, I would like to see more of those teams.
The Classic Game Challenge or whatever it's called is exactly the same. I was really bummed out by this. Big example of EA resting on the fact that no one else has a good college football game.
The outside disciplinary stuff. After one game, I get a message that my shut down corner is being disruptive in team meetings or skipping them all together. The school recommends I suspend him for 2 games. This is what I mean about the micromanagement stuff. At some point in time, it takes away from actually playing the game.

Overall, I give the game a 2.3 out of 4.0. The video game is much like a senior in it's last semester. Doing little to distinguish itself, mostly coasting by on what it has done in the past.
