Question for Phillies fans?

i was just watching the Phillies game and I guess he just got ejected for arguing a call....the fans were chanting Larry Larry...I jsut want to know what do you think of larry Bowa?

Damnit do I want a Phillies/Red Sox/Athletic's/Oriole's thread around here for the outside of Mets & Yankees fan's.

Bowa, I love him! Love him to death. He manages well and honestly can only do so much with the slop that he has for pitching. He is firey, spirited and passionate about the game and his team. He is such a Philly guy. He knows the fans, he knows the town and although not a brilliant baseball mind by any stretch (he's no Torre) he does know his shit and for the most part, gets the job done. Sure, he could have ran someone faster for Thome the other week in Montreal on what woul dhave been a game tying run and sometimes he pulls the starters too soon. Recently he has had no choice but early on they were gone before the 6th. Then again maybe it was for the best since our staff was depleted* and he was just planning for the end of the year.

I have no problem with him. A HELL of a lot better than Terry Francona and HE is making me nervous as i follow the Red Sox this season cause I just have this sinking feeling he will make them tank. I hope not but I just have this feeling cause we had TF for 5 years down here.




*I will NEVER forget Deadwood slumped over on a STOOL {A FUCKING STOOL!} in the on deck circle last September in Florida!

HaHa!! Even after all that movement in the offseason, and they're still barely mediocre!!


Now the NL Central is where its at. The Pirates are 13 out, but they can still be back in it in a matter of weeks. Every single team is so evenly matched that the any team can beat any other team in the division.
