Mental note....if you walk into a conveinance store with a ski mask....you can get charged with TERRIORIST crimes...
A texas DJ (wild zany crazy guy) pulled a prank...and can go to jail for it...why doesn't he just get thrown off the air and get paid by the station and meet with Imus and hang out at the Hard Rock ... oh wait that sounds familar...

It was the latest in a series of on-air gags by Chappell, who also has had a bikini wax, walked across hot coals and married a listener who was paid $100.

Yeah, because giving people concert tickets to have sex in a public place that gave a lot of people comfort after 9/11 (Christians, Catholics, New Yorkers and many others) is so much more high-brow, edgy and different from these ass clowns.

From Bobbie Bones' ("Lunchbox" is from his show) Blog:
I think one of my finest moments was the time I decided to make fun of Barney the Dinosaur by walking into an Eckerd in a Barney suit to buy a package of condoms.

Semi-Serious Q:
forget this, and that hes getting chaarged with terrorist threats...
Scenario: You work at a convenience store 7-11, Wawa, Krauzsers, Gas n Sip on a Saturday night with no chicks around... oops...
anyway, youre behind the counter and someone walks in wearing a ski mask, and your hand is in easy reach of the button.
You hit it?
not That Way, you sicko.
I'll be the first to say Yes on this Q. In a heartbeat.

Yes, I'd hit it. Then I'd hit the button.

OOOOOOOH Lunchbox! I bet you pissed that dinosaur off good! I can just see Barney sitting there, upon hearing the news, getting soooooo mad that his face turned..... purpler?

How Zany would the "prank" have been if the guy behind the counter SHOT the DJ instead? The owner/clerk could have pulled a rifle on him.
Jeez.
How would THAT be good radio?

Yeah great insight Curdoid. O&A were disrepectful to New Yorkers when in the 10 days after 9/11 listeners were allowed to share their thoughts and what they were going through. They brought a city together when the only thing to watch on TV was the same footage we all wish we could forgot. I see what you mean. And they only waited a year before doing the Sex for Sam thing. I guess they should have kept waiting because they'd still be on the air.
There's nothing sexual in media now that the dreaded O&A show is off the year. Thank god. Except for the Superbowl. Oh yeah, and detailed sex talk on Sex and the City. other than that I'm glad...now let's watch MTV and see Britney shaking her tits in front of the screen with her video running every 10 minutes.

You heard it here first, folks...a year of "respect" makes fucking up, literally, a church, one that is the focal point for a huge religion in America's biggest city, right as rain.
Oh, and unrated material on late-night pay cable and a scantily clad pop idol on TV are much, MUCH worse than sex in a church.
INSIGHT!

Courts adjorned. I guess the catholics are free to judge everyone. It's cool...i mean I am one...but I guess I can't feel a certain way. I guess judging people is how people respond. What did Opie and Anthony actually do?
Are they selling drugs to inner city kids? Did they kill a kitten? did they rape a 12 year old?
How about this....did they have sex in a church? no ...they were in a radio studio...A stupid couple from Virginia did.
...but it was their idea! yes that's it. no wait....they didn't even have a point total for a church....they condoned it. Yeah that's it. They didn't call the cops....or get off the air. They made jokes. I thought that's what they do? Surely such filth wouldn't last long in radio.....no wait...they syndicated into almost 20 markets and were #1 in Philly and NY and Cleveland when they got fired..
By the way, it wasn't a comparison to Sex and the City and britney spears so much as it was a level of pushing the envelope in the media lately.
Everyone has to "one-up" the next person. Things got blown out of proportion.... Now everyone's like you can't say that or this....

they didn't even have a point total for a church....
A point of clarification -- I'm pretty sure that there was a point total for a church. There just wasn't one for the St. Pat's Cathedral. I remember because I'm almost positive that after the arrest, the church option was taken off the table for the other contestants.
Someone who has listened to the show more recently can correct me if I'm wrong.

The Catholic League does NOT represent all Catholics. It is an independent organization.
