Here's an excerpt from the show:
Slash: I hate Axl.
Izzy: Axl's a douche.
Duff: Goddamn, Axl is a cocksucker.
Steve: You have no idea, man. What a little bitch . . . got any smack?
Matt: I knew going in Axl had a rep for being an asshole, but WOW!

I just used the fucking coolest function of TIVO in order to record this. I'm at the office, went to the TIVO website, logged in and told it to record this episode on my home TIVO box. And it did!

I almost felt bad for Steven Adler trying to talk after his cocaine induced stroke. But boy, did they kick ass, for like 15 minutes.

Man, I was let down.
It was basically as exciting as reading a press release from the band's label. No good "inside" stories like BTM used to be infamous before.
I wanted something like the Motley Crue BTM episode, and instead we got basically a longer version of that dull "Legends" show VH1 trots out every so often.

There haven't been ANY for a couple years.
They've made, like, two in the last three or so years. And completely stopped showing the old ones except for the rap episodes every so often. Very sucky.

Being an ENORMOUS GnR fan, I gotta go with Mojo. It was cool to see it finally made about the one band they should've done this whole time, but it was still pretty weak.
Didn't they end up doing like two hours on Tony Orlando, and GnR got an hour? wtf?
Although, I'm afraid it never stops being funny just hearing band members complain about Axl.
"I've said it a million times: it ain;t fu**in' brain surgery, it's rock n' roll. He's sitting there arranging a 72 piece symphony masterpiece. Just write the damn song, man!" -Matt Sorum
"Alot of people think it's scarelige (Axl touring with new Guns), but he could give two fu**s." -Slash
"THemskjb crub;k (mumbles)." - Steve Adler

You're confusing VH1 with Dawn.

They did do two hours for Aerosmith.
I know, because I saw it in hell when I died for a little while a few weeks back.

I almost felt bad for Steven Adler trying to talk after his cocaine induced stroke.
He sounded like my Moms boyfriend, who talks like that normally.
Needless to say i was torn between laughter and pity but i did feel bad when he was saying something to the effect of "They took everything i had away from me and then they deserted me" that's pretty harsh.

It's VH1, and it was the coolest thing they've done in ages, so probably never. you'll just have to sit and enjoy I love the 90's instead. Fun fun!

I liked it, but they could have done more behind the scenes stuff as was mentioned earlier in the thread. Still, I like it, though. Next time it's on I'm gonna get a bottle of Jack Daniels for it ok it doesn't have to be on for me to get the bottle I drink by myself and watch family feud.

i dunno. when i finally got to see Slash's eyes, i didnt see the eyes of a man who would cheat his friend. adler's got only himself to blame.
it was a boring btm, but required viewing if you loved the band.

I didn't see the BTM so I gotta ask:
Did Axl in any way, shape, or form address the debacle that was the MTV Movie Awards Performance?? Was it even mentioned?
That performance was WITHOUT QUESTION the single worst vocal performance in the history of rock. If anyone can think of performance that is even HALF that bad, please post it here.

I forgot- Axl wasn't interviewed for the special. They just used old interview clips of him talking to Mr. Madonna: Kurt Loder.

Ahh yes....that was hilariously bad but, her vocals were NO WHERE NEAR as poor as Axl's.
I mean, at least Liza was in tune!

I do think the show was a little weak in some areas. For instance, I heard that when Izzy left the band that there was a war between Axl and him going on, and that he was furious over the Don't Cry video where someone had a sign that said something like "Where's Izzy". He took it to mean that the band was blaming him for the way things were turning out. Supposedly there was a whole war going on about it and I never saw them talk about it on the show.
I do like that they touched upon Velvet Revolver the band which Duff, Slash, and Matt Sorum formed with Scott Weiland. I downloaded their album a few days ago and it's pretty good.
I'm still going to get GNR's Chinese Democracy whenever that comes out, which will be mostly out of curiousity since it's been talked about for so many years.
