not sure if this should be in the hype thread is so, lock away.....
anyway, i have just come back from watching spider man 2. and holy shit my father in heaven!!!!! be forewarned that i have loved spider-man since i was 6 yrs old so my review may be skewed.
and while this story does not hold true in the purest essence of the book i still find this movie to be breath taking. i am in awe of this movie. i have never felt this way, i dunno maybe if i saw godfather on the big screen id feel this way but, i have seen hundreds of movies. i ve seen more shitty special fx movies than the stilt has seen poon, and i say this is not just an effects movie. far far far from that. it has a story, it has humanity, i felt for peter parker, i truly cared about him. i've never experienced that before, not even as i read the words and studied the pictures.
oh by the way, it has an extremely satisying ending.

Monsterone, many much thanks.

I'll deal with this in white text, so spoiler alert:[color=white]
PLEASE! Not only do we have to look forward to ANOTHER Green Goblin movie, we have to do it with the same cheesy halloween costume, and with an actor with half the talent of Dafoe! There are so many good villains, why do they need to recycle the Goblin ALREADY! I want VENOM!!! I WANT THE LIZARD!!!! AND I DON'T WANT EITHER OF THEM TO HAVE TO SHARE A MOVIE WITH THE FUCKING GREEN GOBLIN!!!!!!![color=navy]
Other than that, I guess my biggest problem with movie is that you REALLY need to suspend your disbelief. I didn't know you could fling 80-year-old ladies around like sacks of laundry.
But I guess it was alright. I feel like I should have enjoyed more than I did.

Aren't we going to see The Lizard in the next movie? Maybe the Sandman even?

Just got back from the midnight showing on 34th St.
...Seriously, SUCH A FUCKING GOOD MOVIE. I had an amazing time watching this. I can't say enough good things about it. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it was better than the first one... and that's not easy to do. Better plot, better character depth, better villians, better action scenes, funny as hell at just the right times, and far less predictable... They REALLY nailed this one. A-fuckin'-PLUS.

I totally agree, CH. I loved the first one so to say this one was better, it really did have to step up. It was great and I can't wait to see the 3rd one. Definitley worth the wait and it saved summer movies for me. Totally lived up to the hype and suprassed it.

That guy from Chappelle's Show had a hilarious line in the begining.

Ashy Larry? Hell yes! "I'm Rich, Biatch!"
Spoiler Text:Hopefully the Hobgoblin/Green Goblin II will have a different, less sucky costume, Harry just found his dad's stuff, it doesn't mean they have to re-use the same costume. He just found his dad's.
In the comics it was a different person who became Hobgoblin. Harry did become the GreenGoblin after his father's death (which it turns out was faked) But since they have changed things already from the comic (organic Web Shooters and Gwen Stacy) they could do the same with the 3rd film.

Yeah, it should, mainly because people were already posting their reactions there.
Michael Moore ruined having multiple threads about movies for everyone else.
Voila. (http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm/Forum/80/Topic/39587/page/Official_Spiderman_2_Hype_thread.htm)
