Everybody point and laugh at the filthy, filthy man with parasites!
How the fuck does someone get fucking PARASITES!? Yeah, I'm sure he forgot what his doctor said. I'm sure he has something so goddamned embarrassing he can't admit, like stomach worms or something.

You can get parasites just by eating bad food.
You're just a bitter Yankee-hater.

I grew up in NY, my friend, I just learned how to think for myself and not just always follow the pack.

just cuz he enjoys Jack Daniels and rides a motorcycle and has a bunch of tatoos and always has a 5 o'clock shadow doesnt make him a filthy man.

Afew years back, I was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis. Google that bitch and see a deadly parisite! Due to something stupid my mom did while pregnant, I nearly lost the sight in my left eye. Luckily, we caught it early and with antibiotics and steroids, we were able to check it. To this day, when I go for an eye exam, the Dr. can still see the scar on my retina!

It's so sad that you think being a New Yorker who cheers for the Red Sox is "thinking for yourself". Wow, you're a regular rebel--a real free thinker. I hope you realize that, in an effort to "not follow the pack", you're simply alligning yourself with another pack. So you're ultimately doing the exact opposite of what you claim to be doing.
I can only speak for myself, but I'm not a Yankee fan because anyone told me to be or because I'm following any "pack". I am born and raised in The Bronx and they've been my team as long as I can remember... yes, believe it or not, even when they sucked shit in the 80's and early 90's.

It's a good thing Giambi has worms tonight. Tony Clark has a base hit, a great defensive tag, and a 2-run homer in his place.

It's so sad that you think being a New Yorker who cheers for the Red Sox is "thinking for yourself".
Wow, I didn't think anyone would be so interested in who I root for. Actually, I'm no Red Sox fan. I'm worse, a lowly Met fan. Since I can remember, 1980 or so, I've been a diehard met fan
And, I'm no Yankee hater either, I go to more Yankee games than I care to admit to, as I have a friend in the Stadium.
I'm a baseball fan, I'd go watch the Pirates and Expos if I could.
What I hate is obnoxious, think-they-knowitall Yankee fans who feel like they are better than everyone else, or that they deserve things other teams don't. I also hate Yankee fans who are dumb enough to believe them spending $200 million on their team is not only unreasonable, but stupid and unfair. Does it guarantee a championship? Nope, ask the Marlins. BUT, it does basically guarantee tham being in the playoffs, and that is horseshit.
Also, I hate Yankee fans who just HAVE to have Nomar or Vidro, etc. playing 2nd base next year. Shit even Brandon Tierney on ESPN, a self proclaimed asshole Yankee fan, doesn't want that.
Wait, we're only 17 games up, lets go buy up Randy Johnson or some other guy that no other team can afford. Yeah, fun.
I'll take my hard working Mets. And I'll root for BOston to defy the odds and bitch slap bitch-ass Yankee fans like yourself.

This coming from a guy with old man's balls.
I know what I'm getting from my Mets. And I'll take it. They play hard every night. They never give up.
Most importantly, they all take shower's, unlike the filthy, tube-steak sucking, non-hitting, steroid shooting, non-fielding, not-as-good-as-Tony-Clark, past his prime Jason Giambi.
Nice signing there George, what do you have, 6 more years of this guy? Have fun with that.

I'm assuming from your principled stand on the soapbox that Senor Reyes' boo-boo is all better now and that Mr. Vaughn has returned from his villa to start knocking the hide off the ball for the Metropolitans.
Steinbrenner is an ego-driven prick, but at least he is putting his money where his mouth is and has consistently reinvested in his product. The po' boy vs. the millionaire argument is legit from fans in KC and Pittsburgh, but since the Mets have access to the same markets as the Yankees, it rings a little hollow here.
Back on topic, anybody who eats sushi or sashimi on a regular basis is risking this kind of thing.

yea except the fact that the mets payroll is in the 90 millions, so its not like they arent spending. they jsut are still paying for mistakes, and so thats why it seems they arent paying alot.
and NY or not, the mets dont make anywhere close to what the yankees do right now

Now not only is Giambi a filthy cunt, but so is Kevin Brown. He's got the bedbugs too, and will not throw a baseball for the next 10 days. Filthy fucking bastards.
I got no problem with George Steingrabber. My problem is with guys like Clemens, who use Yanks to get a better deal in Toronto, never having any intention of playing there. Then he finagles his way into a trade, and y'all accept him as Mr. Yankee. No thanks. Sheffield used the Yanks so many times its scary. Lets bring him in. A-Rod, same shit. Kevin Brown used the Yanks to get the Dodgers to give him all that stupid money, a deal EVERYONE laughed at, and George picked it up like it was nothing.
Giambi should've taken the respectable deal Oakland offered, or maybe Jacked em up a little, and fought against the Ynkas for the next 7 years, for HIS team. It's not like Vlad and the Expos where he never had a chance to win. Or Carlos Beltran.
I love hearing Yankee fans talk about getting Nomar or Vidro to play 2nd next year. Fuck, you NEED an all-star at every position? How about bringing up guys from the farm, we forgetting that?
I like the 96-98 teams, Bernie, Jeter, Pettite, etc. they were fun to watch, not these mercenaries.
edit: Sil, you beat me to the punch while I was typing my diatribe. Bastard

Yeah well, I wasnt typin an essay. You bring up a good point though about both players using other teams and how different these Yanks are from the Yankees 6 or so years ago. Even though Im a Mets fan, at least back then I had a lot of respect for the Yankees because they went out there and won with guys from the farm system. Jeter, Posada, Bernie, Pettite, Mariano, etc. Nowaday sure you still have everyone I just listed with the exception of Pettite, but look at who they got around them...Giambi instead of Tino, Sheffield instead of O'Neil, Arod instead of Brosius or a younger Mike Lowell.
Look at the Yanks 98 roster (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/stats/alltime/rosters/yankees/1998.html)
And compare it to their roster today (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/rosters/teams/yankees.html)
The 98 team didnt have a 190 million dollar payroll, or an allstar at just about every postion. The had homegrown players and good solid players who didnt make a shit load of money that went out there and played baseball like it was meant to be played. The 98 team played small ball and managed to score quite a lot of runs. I just saw an interesting stat somewhere that 45% of the Yankee runs this year, come of homers.
So if you look at those 2 rosters, sure they upgraded most positions, but I dont think they upgraded the team...
