JK Rowling has confirmed today that this is indeed the title of the next book. Interesting title, obviously the first person that springs to mind is Hagrid, at least to my mind. She said that some of the things in this book she'd originally planned on putting in Chamber of Secrets, but they made more sense in Year 6. Apparently Year 2 holds some important clues to the end of the series. I've also heard that the book will be ready as early as the first half of next year. That seems a little ambitious to me, but I guess she's trying to keep pace with the movies now.
That is all for now.

Guess she's too busy counting her millions to put out the books on her original schedule.

no offense to any Potter fans here, but I still chuckle when I see adults reading those books on the train to work.
Of course I'm watching "The Simpsons" 4th season on DVD on the train, so I guess I shouldn't.

Those people should do what I do and get a dust jacket from a more mature book and put it over the Harry Potter book. It makes you look more mature and wise beyond your years. I can't tell you how many times I've sat on the train with War and Peace or a Tale of Two Cities covering The Goblet of Fire or any of the other books. Heck, through a SQL Server or Unix cover over the book and watch the geeks drool over you while you read about the folks in Hugglepuff, magic hats, and invisibility cloaks.

Why? The books are fairly well written and actually quite entertaining.

I havent read word one of her stuff but fuck that Well Done for another ex-teacher. She wrote a lot of that in a restaurant down from her one room flat; unemployed and divorced. And she had the wisps of fate, and boom.
Deserves every penny, I'd say.

I don't know first hand, but I heard they were not written very well. Plus it's published by Scholastic, the global children's publishing and media company (http://www.scholastic.com/) I remember ordering books from them while in grade school. While Lord of the Rings is published by Houghton Mifflin Company, Distinguished book publishing since 1832 (http://www.houghtonmifflinbooks.com/) But (I like to put up my own counterpoints) they also publish CURIOUS GEORGE books. So I guess it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I've never seen the Simpons either, but I hear it's pretty unwatchable.

Being in Hufflepuff is like being picked last on the playground. Although Cedric was in Hufflepuff, but he's the exception, not the norm.

Well then, I'll use a line on you that is often used in the CE folder: why don't you actually read the source material yourself, instead of simply relying on the "truth" as others present it to you, before making that determination?

You have NO IDEA how proud I am that I don't know the actual spelling of that.
Granted I read the books.

Hufflepuff has Cedric, but what's Ravensclaw's excuse? Hoping Cho Chang will be a piece of ass?
