$77, $57

That's enough reason for a flame war right there. I don't think i've spent $77 on the last 10 concerts I've been to, and I would say every one of them I was at least as entertained as if I went to Metallica

What's #1 on your list? One?
I'd have picked last_caress

Did they take all the guitar solos out of their older songs?

Dang i thought the Metallicats would get my sarcasm, but my sarcasm sucks. Believe me the horror of Cliff dying, and dying that way, is one of rocks real tradegies. What an amazing, amazing bassist. I really regret not getting into the band under after he was gone.

But I have to rightfully perhaps, ask for flames, but the album 'And Justice For All' once you get past what I think is some iffy production decisions, is just the most amazing, blow you away stomp you flat album, with real themes in the lyrics and music, real orchesarion of parts, and some playing that almost defies, well, playing.

just bustin balls mike. actually one of the greatest bootlegs i ever stole (from an older metal head in junior high) was cliff 'em all, the last apperance prior to the accident at the chance in poughkeepsie.

For me seeing the boys four times during the 'None More Black' [tip to spinal tap] tour, and twice with Load, its all in the set list.

The first time the stuff was all new from the album, so it was cool to hear, even 'nothing else matters' but now? No thanx.

The time at Ginats Stadium with GnR it was like they said fuck it lets play whatever we want, and it rocked. Ditto with the stop at PNC arts center; opening with Breadfan. Oh Man ya hadda be there.

But the next tour, for me, was just overkill. That Stage was so fucking huge; it literally took up the floor, except for some space for those on the floor to walk around the monstosity.

And when they went into the Girders Falling Down Guy on Fire running across the stage untill theyre all playing under a single lightbulb, I was like, Come on, get real.

Second time I saw that show I walked out when the schtick started again, move for move. That really bummed me out, with the fresh memory of them Blowing GnR away at that Giants Stadium Show.

just bustin balls mike.

Oh no offense even entered this cranium, i was actually psyched someone realizes that Metallica Bassists and Buses dont Mix well. :)

That accident happened after a date at The Chance?

Holy shit; I was there exactly ONCE, and damn my luck; my friend dragged me to see The Chili Peps when they were Touring what is easily their greatest album, IMHO: Mother's Milk.

That was a RHCP that does not exist; they were pretty fucking scary; Keidis came off as a little Rollins-ish. Guess it was either all an act, or they were abducted by aliens, and replaced by the Fake Keidis/Flea that are in Point Break and that horrific fucking movie where charlie sheen kidnaps some chick and its one big chase.

Wow Im a bit wordy tonite.

I just came back from a band practice that sucked such balls i dont even want to get into it. When its the drummer and other guitarist from Zyris, the band the Zakk Wylde got plucked from to fill in Randy Rhoads guitar spot, and you realize; well, im gonna stop there...

...you just realize that even some of what you hear are supposed to be what they are, what they say they are, they arent.

Mike, I was at that Giants Stadium show as well. I was a pretty big GnR fan back in the Use Your Illusion days. I had bought the black album so I'd know the songs when they played them, but wasn't too into Metallica.

After sitting through part of Faith No More (we got there late), Metallica's set, then GnR's, I gotta say, I walked out of there a big Metallica fan. Their live show just blew me away.
