cmon guys, be serious.

What you need to do is find the nest. Then, very carefully sneak up to it (remember you don't want them to see you coming- they have LOTS of eyes). When you get up to the nest, shake the HELL out of it! They'll come out, but don't run! They will sense you have no fear and leave on their own. Let me know how it goes.

Duke's right to be scared. If you get stung by one, you become part of the hive collective, with no free will of your own.

The only way to kill them is to drive a stake through the heart of the head hornet. Trust me, this is easier than it sounds, since the head hornet is actually eight feet tall and is BEHIND YOU RIGHT NOW.

I bet your apartment was built on an old indian burial ground. You will know this for sure if the hornet said "GET OUT"" before you locked him in the window.

There is actually a product that I've used with success before called "Wasp and Hornet Freeze". It shoots a thick spray out (it will spray up to 20 feet away from where you are standing). It literally, freezes the hornets and will fill up a paper nest.

There are a few brand names that fall into this category. And all work about the same, but make sure it mentions "Freezing" the insect. You don't want a standard spray as they don't work as well on the hornets.

Try a Lowes (maybe a home depot) or better yet a place like Quality Farm and Fleet or a local nursery.

Enough of this.

Duke, man up and let him sting you. But don't cry like a pussy. You have to show him who the Alpha male is.

Follow this advice and you have an entire nest of loyal hornets at your beckon/call to do your bidding.

Yea, and I'm afraid these hornets are Liberachianized, making them the gayest, most dangerous hornets out there. They've created the wormhole in your butt, and now you must find something to plug up your butt or else these hornets will never disappear.

You didn't get the lighter part of it. Take the Raid, spray it through the flame of the lighter, and both poison and burn the sumbitches. Take evil joy in their writhing, burning, poisoned bodies hitting the pavement. Then stomp on them for good measure.

If you want to torture them more, use WD-40. It ain't poison, just flaming death. Don't forget the stomping.

I hate stinging insects.

i went to powerwash the basketball backboard on my driveway today and there was a big old hornets nest right under the rim with 7 or 8 of them buggas hanging out... i went up the ladder with what i thought was the Wasp and Hornet spray which shoots 20 feet but it was just insect spray and it shot out a cloud about 2 feet(glad i didn't pissed them off) Then i went back and got the W&H spray and got e'm all. Two came later and i got them too... now the backboard is nice and clean...

chalk one up for mankind...

Control Measures

European hornets, when not in direct competition with
humans for space and resources, are very beneficial by destroying
harmful insect pests. Do not control these hornets unless necessary.
They are primarily a forest species, having few contacts with humans
and present a minimal stinging hazard.

Nest Destruction

The best control measure is to destroy the nest. Work
in pairs, wear protective clothing (with bee veil if possible) to
cover the body and do the treatment after dark when most hornets are
inside the nest. Use a flashlight (red cellophane over lens) while the
other person applies the pesticide. Nests may be difficult to locate
and out of reach high into a tree or structure. There are literally
hundreds of products labeled for wasp and hornet control. Use special
wasp and hornet pressurized jet sprays containing synergized
pyrethrins, resmethrin or carbamates and rapidly volatilizing organic
solvents. Sprays are emitted in a long, narrow stream 15 to 20 feet.
If the nest is hidden in a wall void, puff carbaryl (Sevin),
pyrethrins (Drione), bendiocarb (Ficam) or deltamethrin (Delta Dust)
powder or dust into the wall hole that is used as an entrance. Workers
in time will carry the dust back to the queen, giving good kill. When
hornet activity has ceased, remove and destroy the nest. If the nest
is a considerable distance from the entrance, spraying the opening may
have little immediate effect. Never plug the wall entrance after
treatment as hornets may chew out another entrance into the house.
