They should get rid of it don't you think....I mean I believe that it has served its purpose....all of the great players were playing in the national league in the sixties.....I mean the AL batiing champion hit just .301 one year in the sixties.....but now with the offensive explosion that baseball has undergone I think it's time the DH has gone away it'll bring strategy back to American League games and take away the advantage they have in the series

while purist may cry fowl ...

as long as the players' union has a stranglehold on the business of baseball, the DH will last forever ... they'll never give up a high-salaried 'position' player to appease the integrity of the game ...

they lowered the mound and diluted pitching with over expansion to keep sexy hitting averages afloat ... they should raise the mound slightly to accommondate the rise of strength training, and alieve watered down pitching (not too high, just a few inches) ...

I could care less if it stays or not, I really don't wanna see Hudson, Mulder or Zito pick up a bat.

I was reading an article about how with the DH, interleauge play, different playoff system etc., the guys who do the serious Sports Statistics Numbers Crunching, and there' s a whole industry in that, both for teams and the gambling community, and just for the records keepers.

Anyway they said all of this makes it very difficult, if not impossible to compare players, I'm talking pure numbers here: Avg, ERA, K, BB, HR..., from before all of these changes; because in the world of statistics, each change essentially makes it a completely different game.

Get rid of it. Baseball is more exciting with the pinch hitters, situations, etc. without the DH. Makes you use your bench. Adds a little intrigue.

I love baseball either way, but would rather them get rid of DH

The DH sucks.

I would be in favor of disbanding the whole American league if that was the only way to get rid of it.

if you take the DH away now american league pitchers will think twice on beaning a player knowing now he will be the one that gets beaned and after that happens once you won't see them beaning people anymore.

The DH makes the game more fun to watch in the sense there is not the "automatic out" when the pitcher comes up.

On the other hand, you see much more strategy in the NL with out the use of a DH. I have grown up watching the AL, so I am DH fan.

I did always think it was weird that the 2 leagues have different rules.

I say get rid of it....I'm a National league guy to begin with, their games are a lot more fun and a lot quicker

But still, it does add that strategy thing to the game which really makes second guessing fun..
